One thing that I noticed following my inguinal orchiectomy is that my mons pubis became and stayed completely flat. Is this a normal result from this surgery or is it just my observation alone? Have others experienced this too?
I know you were asking for physical changes, but this is kind of interesting. For the past few years, as a memory exercise, I've been going over a list of about 100 things as I've walked to the train station each morning on my way to work. When I first started, it would take me about the time it took me to walk to the station, sometimes more, sometimes less. As I continued, it took me less and less time.
After the orchiectomy, I've noticed that it is taking me a lot longer to go over the list of things. I didn't read anywhere to expect any mental changes as a result of castration, so I wasn't sure if it really was the reason.
Not much change since castration 15 years ago. I've remained on low dose testosterone replacement and have had no change in musculature. I also had and have a concern about weight gain, but have actually lost weight over the years - from 155 to 140#s. I try to be physically active.
Hi Jeff, thanks for sharing the information, I am so worried about gaining weight after castration. What is your t dose like? I want to do a low dose after my castration without any libido.
Thanks

I think that you're going to have to try differing doses until you get the right dosage to suit your desire. "Too little" and you have a propensity to gain weight, while "too much" and your libido returns to "almost" normal. Some degree of "manageable" libido might be necessary to control weight. That's been my experience, anyway.

BTW, I'm about three months post orchiectomy.
One of the castration side effects is loss or reduction of short-term memory! But every person is different and may not experience all the side effects associated with castration.

It's been a year this month that I lost my last testicle (I lost the first when I was 18). I haven't gained any weight yet because I'm making an effort not to. However, I've gone through just about everything on that list with varying degrees of state. I was on T shots prior to the loss about 6 months and was about to quit when I had a hernia operation that caused the loss of the testicle. I stayed on shots after that but they didn't work and weren't helping with the side effects so I explored other options and am now on an implant. They seem to be doing some good but I'm only about a month or so into them. I've noticed a dramatic increase in physical strength or stamina. There will be adjustments in the dose that may help other aspects or desires I hope.
