When you stop taking TRT.

I have a question and I know the first answer will be YMMV, so please I would like to hear from guys who have been castrated and been on TRT and then decided to quit. How long on average did it take the T to leach out of your system and for you to become impotent.

Just a curiosity thing really.

I had to stop hurt for 29 days and for me physical changes started within that time frame. Penis size reduced as well as it was almost impossible to get erect around day 25.

The depression is what was toughest for me.

I have gone 10 days before but want to try for at least 30 days. Have to watch things. Had no problem with the 10 day lapse. In fact, a doctor friend told me that with my age I did not really need the HRT to ward off osteoporosis since I was probably losing bone density anyway. I think I will try in earnest in the fall.

It has been awhile but I seems to remember somewhere between two to three weeks. I knew when it was finally out of my system when I did not have any morning wood. Just remember, even if you might have close to zero T it may still be possible to have erections.

That is true. I am on the 1.62 Androgel and use two pumps one day and one the next. seem to gbe aboe to get hard more after the one pump thzan the two pumps.

I'm using shots of nebido every 12 weeks. The dose is a 1000mg shot every 10-12 weeks. After 11 weeks, I start to get hot flushes. However, I've gone to 15 weeks, and still been able to get hard and have a sex drive. I've not got past that before taking a shot because of a) telephone calls from the nurse reminding me I'm overdue and b) the hot flushes get to bad, and commuting on the tube in London is hot and sweaty enough without adding to it. I've never had the stamina to get over this hump. I think it would probably take another 2-3 weeks beyond that to be impotent again. The Doctor said that with time, the nebido builds up in the tissue so the "fall off" takes longer. I used to get to 9 weeks and have hot flushes; it now takes 11.
