Orgasms often difficult and taking longer

Post by lister02 (imported) »

I have been on hrt for hypo-gonadism five years now. Till last year I used only 0.7 ml(equal to 125mg) of depo-testosterone biweekly and functioned normally.

Then it became more difficult for me to orgasm and ejaculate even in my wife. Now I also use 1 tube daily of 5mg androgel but sex often does not feel intense or as pleasurable as it used to. Sometimes it still feels pretty good but more and more often not, taking longer to cum and or not ejaculating at all.

My wife prefers relaxing to intercourse, but she says its bearable when I come quickly. Now I take longer and often don't come or ejaculate. Then follows that painful pressure feeling in my prostrate which was not there before I started. I find this frustrating and when this happens wish I had not wanted sex but stayed flaccid and relaxed instead. :-\

I doubt increasing my dosage would solve it, so I prefer not to. What usually happens? I imagine other guys had these experiences.

I want to know where this will probably go. Is this going to continue and progress.

Even after getting myself back into pretty good shape (still not the best) and all my health issues sorted out, it's still very difficult for me to orgasm or ejaculate, either one. It's takes a LOT of work, and hardly worth the effort. I haven't had a T-check in about 15 years, probably, I'd guess, either. Not sure what it is, but I've certainly got enough annoying body hair back out of the deal. Weight loss, good diet, exercise, and vitamin D. And blood sugar control.

I've found that performance declines over time. 15 years of using Androgel and now it seems I might just as well not do so most of the time. occasional episodes of good times, but not often.

I am on Androgel also. My episodes are rarely more than once a month. I do find that it hurts when I ejaculate then. I guess if I was more sexually active, the hurt wiould stop. The pain is in the glans at the tip. Once or twice I have been able to ejaculate a couple of times in a month and the second time it does not sdeem to hurt. Maybe I need to try harder.

May want to get blood tests done and have them check your estrogen and prolactin levels. Estrogen could be too high or low. Men need estrogen too and too low will kill erections and orgasm function.

I think there are too many factors what will impact this.

age is a big one perhaps?

I agree that it takes longer. I agree that it may not happen. I also think that it depends how engaged one's brain is. Also if one can relax into it.

I understand and can relate to what the OP says. I can't try with my wife but...

There are various ways to get more stimulation though that might resolve the issue?
