I already have a pump dispenser of Androgel (prescribed two pumps daily for now), a large number of people I can call while I'm recovering if I need to talk (both eunuchs from EA and personal non-eunuch friends I've known for awhile), a check-in appointment with the endocrinologist set for one month after the surgery, and plenty of books and Netflix to keep me occupied in the hotel room
I'm excited to be moving forward, and plan to take my first dose of Androgel the day after castration. Anything I should be wary of? I understand that, even with HRT, it's possible to experience some post-surgery depression and hot flushes, but I expect those will be minimized by a full dose of T and the presence of good emotional and medical support networks.
Excited and nervous, but more excited.
