I know there are likely better places on the forum to post this. However this is the place where my journey started (orchalgia)
I have been on TRT for nearly 5 years. Many ups and downs in that time.
The drug company here in Japan stopped producing the testosterone ethanate last year around this time. I was able to stock pile a good supply. However I have only 34 doses left. It only comes in ampules here. 125mg 1mL amps. That sucks as I do not use a full amp. We did contact the company and asked about keeping the other half of the amp for the next week but not something one should really do it seems.
So.
My sex life has been non existent for the 2 years as well. The wife checked out of sex completely 5 years ago after her hysterectomy (I have explained that in other posts but it was total, abdominal etc) She also stopped HRT a while back. So....
What do people do? I mean sex is supposed to be a big part of life but for me it has never been so.
I do however want to have some kind of memorable "last time" if it comes down to that.
From what I read on here men who have had a penectomy or whatever have done it for their own reasons and still seem to have active or enjoyable sex lives. Is that a part of my issue? I wonder.
Going off TRT... etc

I can't reply directly to your post, because I am not in a similar situation. OTOH, my endocrinologist has cut my daily androgel dose in half, because I have been registering such a high level of T (1019 ng/dl last time), and my hemoglobin has been running high. I have a 2 year supply of T available, but at what use if the high hemoglobin causes me to stroke out. Leaves me unhappy. Leaves me with no sex, no masturbation except on a rare occasion. Endo says low T, low sex, ED, your old (60), live with it. I intend to find another endo. Have you another T source - able to import any?

The medical world is in a tizzy right now because a paper came out saying that synthetic testosterone causes heart issues. The problem is they are applying this standard both to men who have testicles and those who don't. My doctor was going to lower my dose for being 1% over the high mark. I went off on him and said absolutely not. I insisted on seeing an endo for continued hormone care.
In the US, I think it's coming down to cost - the health plans don't want to pay for it. So they have this SINGLE study to point to so they can say they won't do it. It's kind of like the anti-vaxxers, but with deeper pockets and greed.

I guess I should start cutting back my dosing and stockpiling my Androgel, I can't afford to be without it. The depression from it would end me.

Wow, My T level has never been over 600 and that was with 175mgs injected.
Mine usually goes between 450 and 290ish. I don't check it as much as I used to.
I have the issue with the highish haemoglobin. Yes, donating blood would help that but Japan is too strict. I can't donate because I was in the UK at a certain time.
Importing is not a great solution. They are strict about that here, all packages get checked and people get arrested (controlled substances) etc. Not worth the risk.
Yes! Depression is my absolutely biggest concern. I was ordered to go off TRT for about 29 days 2 years ago. It was total hell. I get very screwed up after about 14 days without it. Traveling was a nightmare.
At 36 I am not ready to totally give up on ever having sex again I think. So that would really add to the depression....
Cheers

Re: Going off TRT... etc
Now on regular T cypionate dosed weekly to keep T at about 500. My medical folk seem to think this is appropriate. I feel good, and retain potency.
There was a time when I had no T supply, and I felt down for a while, with flashes early on but diminishing. I lost potency, but regained much previous energy and an enjoyable equilibrium with the world. Sexual libido was practically zero, but hetero-attraction still remained, but different. All-in-all not a bad existence at all. Some breast growth started, but over two years seemed to regress.
The flashes time was not too good, but once mostly over, good times returned. I often consider deliberately experiencing the T-less state again.
