The Flash - CW TV series, may contain SPOILERS!
I went on a binge yesterday and watched all 11 episodes of this.
I liked it, surprisingly. Certainly beat the old 90's attempt.
Anyone else watching it?
What do you think of it?
I wonder, if at the beginning, they're alluding to the animated film "The Flashpoint Paradox", with having both yellow and red lightning surrounding the death of Barry's mother? And I doubt it was Reverse Flash who took young Barry from the house.
Thoughts?
Sorry, I'm running out of friends to talk "geek" with.

I started to watch but stopped. If I start again then I'll binge one weekend for the episodes.
It wasn't bad just struck an odd note and I stopped. Maybe it was only me.

I disagree. The 90s Flash series was much better then the 2014 version is.
Re: The Flash - CW TV series, may contain SPOILERS!
Back in that day, I thought that the series with John Wesley Shipp was OK, but then again, I'm never satisfied.
The 2014/15 version has some things I don't like, but I can live with it so far.
I liked the idea of it crossing over with "Arrow," too. I just with they'd go a bit further and include the canon sidekicks like Kid Flash and Speedy.
Now, if they wanted to cause a true Geek-gasm, a visit to Gotham City to meet up with Robin would do it.
A live action version of the Batman Animated Series episode with the Mirror Master would be great, too, but pretty hard to make.

Re: The Flash - CW TV series, may contain SPOILERS!
I watched the 90s Flash just recently so I am making a direct comparison. The actors in the new flash are way too young for their roles. They look like they should be in high school not playing adults. You don't finish university and become a pathologist with experience at 20. The 90s Flash was in his mid 30s and looked it. I found the 90s version more realistic and natural.
I can't stand it when they have kids playing adult roles just to appeal to the teens.

In a word, marketing.
Today, nothing except for adult diapers, prescriptions, and assisted living is marketed at this over 30.
Hell, they don't even make cars for older people anymore - they make rolling tablets connected to the internet, with seat and steering wheel.

My right foot must not speak good geek because the engine rarely does what I thought my foot told it to do, especially when that fancy 6 speed excuse for a transmission downshifts going around a corner. That wire cable and before wire cables the steel rod linkage always understood what my foot was saying. The service manager explained that's what drive by wire does. He had no explanation when I asked why the geniuses at the factory thought this was an improvement.

I never saw the old Flash but I love the new one and watch it every week. I also like Arrow.
Then again EunuKen says I have no taste because I still enjoy watching that gawd awful movie, Battlefield Earth.

I was disappointed with this week's offering.
I'm really tired of the Firestorm character already, although how they hinted at the animated movie "Flashpoint Paradox," as the murder scene for Barry's mom nearly made me have a Geek-gasm!

Firestorm and the hints of his mother's fate were what ended my watching the story.
