I'm sure some of it is gender stereotypes and overcompensation but I always loved spicey food pre and while I don't eat so much post for various reasons I'm still partial to it when I get the opportunity.
Oddly everything tastes better with e, and I don't feel the need to douse stuff with sauce just to enjoy my food. Also I don't undereat to the degree I used to and one thing that's not been mentioned is spicey food fills you up a lot quicker.
I do get the stereotype thing Spitdik mentioned in reverse. On the occasion I still buy something spicey I'll often get asked "and what are YOU having", just like when I buy cigarettes and they give me lights or menthols on assumption instead.

This also raises the issue, as in my boy G2, when he was prepubescent - what about those boys who love spicy foods?

Well, aren't all your boys testosterone infused women chasers? What with all the new spoilable children appearing?
Re: Testosterone and spicy food
Yeah, G2 presented us with a boy about 6 months ago. That makes 1 for him and 2 for G1.
G3's been informed that if he brings one home before he's 21, he's getting castrated.
He thinks his mother is kidding...

Re: Testosterone and spicy food
Oh oh oh!
Adrenal androgens often show as T in salvia tests, because of high levels of the conversion enzyme in the saliva glands. I remember this from when I did spit tests.
Couldn't spicey food maybe raise your adrenal output? I mean it makes you sweat and raises your heart rate?!
Maybe the whole conclusion of the test is backwards?
