What did you Primary Care Physician say after...
Hi all, Happy New Year!
I want to know if anyone here- did not inform their Primary Care (GP/Family Doctor) about
their Orchiectomy. What was the doctors reaction/comments when he/she found out?
Thanks!
Ben

No problem for me. I have a woman doctor and before that a man gp. Both knew/know. Of course, the quewtion might be what would the present lady doctor think if I told her i wanted my penis removed. THAT would probably raise her eyebrows.

It was my regular PC doctor who discovered my shrunken and very hard balls which led to them being removed

THEY ARE GONE FOR GOOD
I saw my doctor yesterday and he told me how funny I was just after I woke up
Said he that I looked him in they and asked him if I was an eunuch. He laughed
as well as the male nurse that was attending to me. After they both calmed down
he replied "Yes, you are officially a Eunuch."
He showed me the pathology report which showed there was no cancer. It also said
that there was a hard mass in the center of each testicle that severe necrosis and
they said they were removed in time before gangrene started.
My urologist said that was what was causing me so much pain, and probably why
they were producing very little testosterone.
OH. I guess I forgot to tell the doctor that the boyz were alcoholics, and they liked
to get EVERCLEAR straight. I am healing rapidly, but there is a hematoma still in
my scrotum and to take hot sit baths and to wear tight fitting underwear.
I think women's bikinis and thongs fit the bill.

Congratulations again. I hope your recovery is rapid and your new life as a eunuch is all you hoped for.

She was curious as to the circumstance as to why I was castrated but took it in stride.

Re: What did you Primary Care Physician say after...
My personal physician was horrified at first and it took *quite* a bit of explaining as to why. Then he was supportive. I sometimes hesitate to tell a nurse at a clinic or to mention my "surgery" on a health questionnaire just to avoid awkward moments like this. When I cannot avoid telling a strange medical staffer (because of physical exam), I just mention that I wanted "libido reduction." Some health workers assume that I had prostate cancer issues - which I do not, but I just nod and agree.

I rarely tell them anything. Most don't ask. Some just assume long ago testicular cancer. I never dis-abuse them.

I wonder if a woman doctor would be more understanding than a male doctor.

They ask, I tell them, its always good for a laugh watching them wonder and wondering if they will ask further or drop it. It does not bother me in the least and if it bothers them oh well.
