I have been a life long viewer of these forums, and now, i can't believe i wille be asking you help for my MTF transition!

2015 will be a great year!

First, the subject :

French male, always new he is not in the right gender, crossdresing young, plays the man after teen, gets married at 21 to a wonderful wife, has one first lovely daughter, then discovers that transsexuality exists, thinks he will find the cure thanks to psy conselling and analysis (6 years), hopes that two more beautiful kids wille lock him into manhood, realises he has to "do the job" for his kids and drops everything for the next 22 years (well not exactly everything, closeted tv will know what i mean)

Now 47, knows it is too late to become claudia S, or Laetitia C, but will accept any life as a female, met a wonderful man 12 years older than him that wants to turn him into a girl and mary her.

We are planniing for some real life tests together.

So, subject is ready for the big step!

Only one question left to be answered : is this a sexual fantasy or something real?

Wants to solve this through chemical castration : getting rid of the libido should clear the path for a cold blood assumption of the situation

So has ordered 5 vials of depo provera via inhouse, that will come in a fortnight.

I will need you technical help on some points :

- i chose the depo thing beacuse it is easier to hide and less difficult to forget, but i am concerned that if the chem isn't right for me it will be in my body without exit solution, is it a problem with provera?

- what should i expect from DP in terms of : weight gain, breast growth (not wished for the moment), mood swings, and further

- i am quite big (6.2 and 180pds), should i double the dose for the first injection

- i plan to self inject in the thigh, anybody has a decent set of instruction for this injection site

You help will be greatly appreciated

As far, as I know, depo provera is an IM injection, and you can't prematurely stop its action.

Do not know about dose (I took cyproterone acetate only, haven't tried injectables).

And I wish you luck.

PS. I've seen reports on the forum that depo provera is not the best solution, but haven't investigated them. Can't remember threads from the top of my head.

Depo Provera interferes with the Pituitary glands messages of LH & FSH. What this does is tell the the testes to stop producing Testosterone. It works very well. However, it is long lasting and with the usual caveat of You Mileage May Vary (YMMV) it can take anything form a few weeks to months to wear of.

It is a depot suspension which means it hangs in the muscle and is slowly absorbed by the body over time.

Some people don't like it because of the way it ineteferes with the Pitutiary and the disruption to LH & FSH can be very long lasting or permanent. It also lowesr bone density and therfore should be taken with Vitamind D & Calcium supplements. Interestingly, as a contraceptive for women, doctors usually omit to recommend the latter!

Like all hormones it should be understood before taking it.

I use it inspite of my low testosterone as It has really enhanced my breast fullness.

I'd say there's a great pssibility this man wants to fulfill a fantasy..with you as the pawn...I'm just guessing,and if I'm wrong...then I wish the two of you a

long and happy life.. Hunter suggests the chemical castraton route that you suggested, and have ordered, is a good idea....I second that..I wouldn't be giving up my testivcles until I'm absolutely sure this man is sincere, and you are happy with him...Then, perhaps surgery is in order...

fhunter...I have just ordered 50 pills of cyproterone, which I will use as an anti androgen with 4 mgs daily of estradiol..I took spiro for about a year, several years ago..It made me extremely weary and pee a lot..So I quit the spiro about a year ago...still on the astradiol, though..When the cyproterone arrives, I'll be making myself chemically castrated again .(I loved all of it on the spiro, except the tiredness and the peeing)..Can you tell me of any plusses or minusses you have experienced on this cypro?

The right doses Is what I would like to know for me.

It varies for each one and you will need a personalized doses. Currently I´m using androcur but planning shift to depo.

I´m gonna use one shot every 12 days.

It can increase your appetite and so you can gain some weight with time. ,

In Itself will not do so much in breast growth

I´ve used depo only two times for the start of my chemical castration and I have found that is easier applying on buttocks. I don´t like the thighs site.

Regarding about your decision I think you should do your transition for yourself. Do It because Is what you really are desiring and for reach your own Identity without any pressure. What If within two years you break up ? Would you continue with your transition? . Once you have elucidated this and that be sure that he really loves you then you should transitioning step by step.

I must confess that I started my castration partly for please my partner as he adore female shapes and although naturaly my features are not so masculine I wanted acquiring and enhancing female forms. With Time I realised that I was castrating and feminising myself not only for him but for me, I feel really good being castrated and with some feminization and now I know that my decision have nothing to do with him and It never was for pleasing him but for pleasing myself and for accomplish my own Identity.

We have been a couple for eight years. In the last months I´ve been chemically castrated and he desires me as much as before. Anything has changed substantially after that. If he fell In love with you as a "man" He still will do with you as a "female" because He loves your nature and just the way you are. He loves your essence. If both of you are completely agree about your transition and really love each other, you will surely have a wonderful and loving future.

Hi there! So, I realize that my experience with Depo Provera was an outlier case, but you're asking about things like weight gain, so...

When I got the Depo shot, I was 18 years old and physically female. I was healthy and athletic, just under 150 lbs. I got the injection, and within a week I had gained 10 lbs. I called my doctor to ask about the weight gain, and she said it had just increased my appetite and to cut back what I was eating. So the next week I monitored my food and ate no more than 1,800 calories or so a day. I gained another 10 lbs that week. The following week, I cut back my caloric intake to 1,000 calories a day. I gained another 10 lbs.

Three weeks, 30 pounds. My skin was stretching so fast with the weight gain that I literally woke up with blood on my sheets from where my stomach was tearing. I gained another 20 lbs over the next two months as well. I was at 190 lbs by the end of my first three-month episode with the Depo shot.

As for self-administering IM injections, there are lots of YouTube videos with instructions on this. You can look up videos of trans men injecting testosterone in the thigh, if nothing else; I know those exist and some are really useful, clear tutorials for the whole process.

Plusses - it is not injectable like depo provera (so at the time it was easier to conceal), much stronger than spironolactone.

It is a daily pill, so no issues with being stuck with it, you can stop it in 1-2 week time (slowly lowering the dose).

Minuses - can be dangerous to liver, especially in higher dose, and its function should be monitored in process, in high doses longterm can cause troubles with pituitary. If you abruptly lower the dose, that can cause hormone levels oscillation (correct me please if I am wrong).
