TRT.....the 3rd time seems to be the charm

Since my post nearly a month ago about using TRT as a means to shut my testicles down, some interesting developments have happened. I had briefly tried TRT on 2 other occasions a few years ago but had never stuck with it because of the high cost moneywise and I guess because I was just impatient in wanting instant results. My insurance refuses to cover it. I was on TRT for 2 months the first time and quit after 3 months the second time feeling no better using the drug either time than before without it. I have had retractile testes all my life and suffer with chronic testicle pain issues along with low T levels. My desire is and has been to find relief from the the pain issue. My current urologist wanted me to give it a try one more time so I began using it a 3rd time 4 months ago. I began using 50MG of Testosterone gel daily. After 3 months I complained to my urologist on a follow up visit that I still was suffering just as before. My T level still checked in the low level range at 251 so she doubled my dosage to 100MG. Wow did that make a BIG difference. In the last 4 weeks my chronic pain is much less. I have long suspected that my discomfort was a direct result of my testicles straining to but unable to produce the T level my body desires. I have long thought that castration was the answer to solving the chronic pain issue. By using enough artificial T I hope that my testicles will shut down and atrophy away and thus eliminate the source of my discomfort. I think this is happening. Typically my retractile testes would be drawn up out of the scrotum about 40% of the time but since increasing my TRT they spend about 95% of the time hidden away up inside and my scrotum is drawn up flat and tight against the base of my penis. Hopefully my testicles have been given notice of their permanent retirement and I'll make sure to keep giving them their daily dose of artificial T until my next follow up visit and T test in a couple of months. Perhaps in 6 months or so their testosterone/pain making days will be history and I can go back to a lower artificial T dosage.
