Help! a little bump in my chest!

Post by Frida G Cavic (imported) »

Hello, few days ago when I was in bathroom I noticed a little bump in my chest 4 centimetres up my right neeple . It feel some hard under my skin and has 1 centimeter in size, doesn´t hurt. In the same area I have three bruises that last to dissapear. I don´t remember hit me in there. In my thigh and upper arm I have bruises like those in my chest. And take long to dissapear too. I´m very worried about it because,I hope be just my imagination, the little bump seems to be growing very slowly. My sister died of breast cancer 10 years ago. I don´t want to go to the docotor because here, people including doctors disriminate against transgender and there such a ignorance about it. Also I don´t want suspending my chemical castration and don´t want my parents learn about what I´m doing.

Currently I´m taking 12.5 cyproterone, 5mg finasteride, 25mg spiro daily. And three weeks before I injected 300mg depo provera for the first time. I had used cyproterone for four months the last year and I have no problem.

I´m not taking any estrogen and as far as I know estrogens are involved in breast cyst development and medroxyprogesterone has anti-estrogenic effects.🙋🙋 Progestins are also involved in cysts?

I have read that breast cyst in women are some common, but in men????

help any similar case to mine?

Anyone has got a bump in chest when using cypro or depo?

Dou you think the antiandrogens that I´m using have to do with it?

by the way I´m 32 years old, 🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋

Hi Freddyde, Go to a doctor! You don't have to tell them what you have been taking, but get it checked out. Lumps need looking at by a doctor.

I agree that you should go to the doctor as soon as possible.

I also am seeing a breast specialist, I started getting gynecomastia after doing chems for a year and am now fully castrated, the breast and testicles are closely linked.

While being treated for my testicles I had a lesion in my left one I wasn't producing any T and my breasts started to grow despite taking tamoxifen to stop it. I have lumps in both breasts, if your lump is directly under the nipple it may just be caused by gyno, mine however are not, and like you have a strong run of breast cancer in my family.

I went last week to see a specialist and am now waiting for an ultra sound and will see the surgeon on the same day to decide what else needs to be done. I was assured in 90% of cases lumps turn out to be benign.

The good thing is these days breast cancer treatment is much more advanced from where it was and here in the uk there are separate breast clinics within the hospital, about 400 men a year get breast cancer here in the UK. I found everyone very nice and very sympathetic and as a male was treated well, I did think I might feel like a bit of an intruder in a woman's domain. Don't waste time though, the male breast is different to a woman's in the fact it is smaller so any growth doesn't have so far to travel to either the surface, the nipple or to the chest wall its self so can be more invasive more quickly, so see a Dr as soon as you can. Some chemicals used in hormone treatment do bring on Gyno and can increase the risk of breast cancer.

The good thing is though if mine does turn out to be benign I may get the breast tissue I have grown removed free of charge as a safety precaution.

Seeing a doctor is important. Men, even those who are "full"men .

, heterosexual in every way and still intact have been known to get breast cancer.

Lumps, bumps, and other oddities are nothing to mess around with. G1 and I have both had scares with those, which luckily turned out to be nothing more than simple cysts that were easily dispatched. Get to a doctor and have it checked out.

Well, yesterday afternoon went to a doctor.

She saw my bruises and did a palpation routine like would have done to a woman. She said me that don´t worry about it so much because the bump is localized in an no typical area for a malignant development ( far up the nipple).

She explain me that it was only a ganglion inflammated. And the bruises in chest, arm and leg is caused by a coagulation problem. Prescribed me an antiinflammatory and ordered blood coagulation tests, hemogram and others items. About two weeks I should be go back for showing results and in that time the ganglion should have been reduced. If not, she said that an ultra sound must be done. Tomorrow I´m going to do my blood work, and I really hope this is only a scare and no more. Also was advaised that don´t touch the bruises nor the bump as I had been doing before.

I told her about my sister and she explained me that breast men cancer is not so common and that is ocurred in very old man. However I will be watching over it and follow the instructions.

Today the little mass doesn´t seem more growth and has a soft texture. Bruises seem to be slightly improved.

I found some information about cancer risks of depo and cypro. And aside the known possible liver damage of cypro, only depo in higher dosis for a long time seemed to b

in beagle dogs. There is nothing clear If progestins could be rising the risk of cancer acquirement. The existent information show that higher doses for many years of progestins could rise the risk by alone, but there was no observable difference in a rise of risk neither women with nor without a cancer background. Hiper-estrogenism is much more involved in breast men cancer overall in those with familiar precedent, another disseases are implied too Eg. klinefelter syndrome and hypogonadism.

However, when was said, everybody, could be in risk so It´s important to take care about oneself.

Is possible that coagulation problems are also have to do with the liver, so I´ll check it out

One more thing, yesterday I begun to have some mastalgia. No gynecomastia by now.

Liver function tests, Complete blood count, coagulation profile and other parameters they all were ok. Only triglycerides are some high, although they have been high sometimes in the past when taking no antiandrogen. Tomorrow will have a breast ultrasound. Thank God there are some great news. Seems that my bump has shrinked and bruises are certainly almost dissapeared!! Anyway tomorrow I´m going to the scan.

My current castration routine: 12.5mg cyproterone, 25mg spiro and 5mg finasteride daily.
