Crater collapse causes lava explosion on Hawaii's Kilauea

HONOLULU (AP) — Molten lava, rocks and gas went flying through the air on Hawaii's Kilauea volcano after an explosion was caused by the partial collapse of a crater wall.

, my neighbor and I are going to

the Volcano National Park to see first hand where they throw the virgins, as I understand it they have not found one in years. I know that you can't get near the rim like you could a couple weeks ago, but it should still be a good show, I will take pictures and post them on the archive or at least links to them if talula and Paolo let me.

There is some incredible footage of the lava pool on Big Island Video News.

So as one person asked me a while back, "what is it like living next to a volcano" Good, its all good and living on a live volcano is even better.

Well my trip to the volcano is on hold for at least 3 weeks and by then the show will most likely be over. My trip was canceled because I was in Hospital having emergency surgery. I am back home now and everything is good.
