Hypogonadism caused low testosterone levels

Post by de_fens_us (imported) »

I have retractile testes along with hypogonadism and have suffered from chronic pain in the testicles for many years. My T level checks vary anywhere from the very low 200s down to 75 once averaging about 125 to 135 for the last several years. At what level do most of you with your experience in this group consider a man to be essentially castrated??

I can still perform sexually when asked by my wife but it is difficult to do. After an orgasm, my testicles typically remain pulled up tight into my body for many hours before they release down into the scrotum

Second question....my retractile testicles are pulled up into my body and out of my scrotum more so than not so they are exposed to higher heat than when down in my scrotum. A couple of Drs. I have seen thru the years have said that the higher body heat they experience causes problems with sperm production but not with producing testosterone BUT the last 2 urologists I've been to have said retractile testes can have impared testosterone production as well and most likely the cause of my hypogonadism. Any others viewing this post have any knowledge on this subject?

I've often wondered if the chronic pain I've experienced comes from my testicles trying to but unable to produce as much testosterone my body asks for or if it comes from the pressure on the testicles themselves from being pulled up out of the scrotum and into the tight canals they travel in.

The heat isn't going to affect "T" production; only sperm production and/or viability.

As for the pain issue, there could be many reasons. The sad part is, getting a doctor to believe that your balls hurt.

My testicles spent my first 16 years in the inguinal canals, and never worked. They dropped at 16 and still didn't work. No amount of "jump starting" with testosterone injections made them do their job. I have had many sperm counts and never had a single swimmer. Some guys just have non-functional testicles. Your body obviously has become used to working on a low T level. For the most part a guy with a level below 200 will have serious issues with performance.

As for testicular pain, trying to get a doctor to believe that you have it is like trying to get adults to wait up on Christmas Eve for Santa. They all assume that you are weak , and can't "handle" pain . I now first hand that it is very real, and can bring you to your knees or send your expensive dinner hurtling across the room, when the pain kicks in and you vomit.

Lots of "normal " guys have balls that retreat into the inguinal canals when they orgasm, or when they exercise, it is a function of the length of the cords. These guys do not have low T , and likely don't have testicle pain. Keep on the doctors to diagnose the reason for the pain, and your continued low T. Try a supplement, and see what that does to your sexual desires / abilities. These days getting a T script is pretty easy, long as you don't have any heart issues.

Good luck , and hope you will find some answers,

Raymar

By my experiences high temperature of testicles causes infertility and low T level (my is about 130) I have anamnesis of azospermia and hypogonadism because ot testes migraris. I have testicular pain as well. So it is no easy to get some reasonable solution, but it really works - high temp = no sperm, low T.

i wonder if high temperatures in addition to lowering T count and sperm count would also lower testosterone level to that of castration? Would this be a way to becoming a eunuch if done long enough?

I´m not sure if the T level can go down to the eunuch T level. Probably not. But IMHO there are no serious studies available. What I found out is that after long period of overheating testicles can be testes tissue changed to fibrous tissue and than atrophy. No idea how long this period must be. It would work for any individual differently.

Hi Danny, I read a post on a cancer forum of a guy who heated his testes to lower his sperm count as a method of contraception and he got cancer.

Look at these links:-

Hi Jcat, I know about this. But the relation between heat and the cancer is not fully discovered, actually the guy said that too.

Hi Danny, I know. The information is useful and something to consider in pursuing this. It could well be the case that this particular individual would have got cancer any way. I posted the information because I was aware of it and it is informative. There may be more out there and in particular and proven link to cancer.

Cancer links are very hard to attribute anyway and I daresay this remains unproven.

Jcat : Sure, I was aware of it as well. I have found many postings about overheating testicles as the way how to lower sperm count but just rarely any notice about relation to lowering of T level. But in my case it seems to be working well. No idea where is the lowest limit.
