vaporous entities and musings (in other words - BS)
Re: vaporous entities and musings (in other words - BS)
I'd do it if they paid me enough. We're talking at least six figure income, though.

It's a shitty job but someone has to do it!
Think: rabbits, chickens, dogs, cats, sheep, monkeys

Be careful what you wish for. You haven't specified currency and payment period.Paolo wrote: Sun Sep 18, 2016 6:38 pm I'd do it if they paid me enough. We're talking at least six figure income, though.
PS. Damn. I spent too much time as a programmer.

Comcast sucks dead elephant's ass.
Don't even ask!
Don't tell me anything.
Don't enlighten me.
I might actually yes you how I feel and you won't like me after that.

FXX is planning another Simpsons marathon two years after the 12-day event it held in 2014. Billed as the longest-running in TV history, the new marathon will consist of 600 episodes over 13 days beginning at noon on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, and running through Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Damned if I know. (sorry, just couldn't resist)
I tried the last marathon and discovered that I could take two or three episodes before wanting to burn my eyeballs out of my head. It's not THE SIMPSONS, it's me...
There are, however, people who record these and watch them over and over. I have a friend who tried to remain away for the 12 day marathon and was crying and whining about how he kept falling asleep.
The other thing is that is Thanksgiving weekend here in the USA and most TV's are tuned to never-ending football games.
I will guess that the non-football crowd might turn on the marathon.

Re: vaporous entities and musings (in other words - BS)
Next week the second season of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD ends with a 2 hour extravaganza...
I have been frustrated with this spinoff for several reasons.
a) it's slow moving
b) I don't like some of the characters. They are extraordinarily conflicted and the reveals of the various conflicts and "dread-family-secrets" is not easily understandable as they progress.
c) Worst of all, and I think this is the script writer's error (The group of them) is that this story is about the start of the zombie apocalypse but it follows a family that never seems to grasp the disaster that is happening around them.
Fear the Walking Dead (FTWD) premiered nearly five seasons into THE WALKING DEAD (TWD). It starts before DAY 0...
Our first scene in TWD's first show was set 59 days after DAY 0. By that time, the characters had figure out what zombies were and went through the collapse of civilization. Season seven will begin at least 3 years after Rick Grimes woke from his gunshot induced coma in that first show.
FTWD, however has barely moved 30 days from Day 0 in its two year run.
That's one of the reasons that the characters in FTWD do not know what they are facing and are taking long to understand it...
And these characters are really screwed up. The "family" is composed of Husband and Wife on their second marriage both with children from their first marriages and big baggage. The Husband's ex-wife ran off and remarried and left the kiddies to the Husband. The Wife's ex-husband drove his car into a brick wall to commit suicide. The Husband's ex-wife was around in the first season and was a bitch. So all of them are screwed up royally.
So now you know why I don't talk about this so often. It's a messed up family dealing with an unknown virus that causes zombies. And they can't even figure it out, yet...
