Your Bed Sheets .....

Post by Paolo »

I had to buy new sheets the other day. This from the wear of having a pet rat running loose in my room and the fact that they were old and the fever last week with night sweats sort of finished them off.

I found a lovely set on sale, and now my curiosity is piqued.

What type of bedding do members here have? Please take a moment to describe if you have to.

Blue. Matching the movie posters hanging over my bed.

Flannel bedsheets and pillow cases. Two sets. One rose (now pink after many washings) and one blue. I use one set for a week, launder them, put them away, and use the other set. This evens out the wear.

They are very comfortable. For winter use I have an electric blanket over the top sheet, and a lightweight thermal blanket over that.

Oh yes, and I sleep in men's flannel pajamas.

Oh, and I was able to vote in this poll. For flannel, of course.

Purple-y floral. They have a certain water-color look to them.

Light grey/blue sheets with a pale green fern pattern.

Under the bottom (fitted) sheet is an electric pad covering the entire top surface of the mattress. This pad has a control similar to an electric blanket, and is divided into thirds. The bottom (foot) section has the most heating, the midsection has about half as much, and the top (head) has very little. Overall the amount of heat produced is about half as much as the usual electric blanket.

Under that is an ordinary matress pad.

Above the top sheet are two very light blankets, one pale fern green, the top one in a strong Southwestern pattern in greens, blues, beiges and grey.

The pillowcases match the sheets.

The bedstead and headboard are in medium oak.

After all that, my question is "Who in Hell cares?" ;)

Take care,

Who in hell cares?

I do, or I wouldn't have asked.

In my case, it would not be so much as caring, as just honest curiosity about my fellow EA members. Well, I would care to the extent that I hope they are sleeping comfortable and getting a full night of restfull sleep.

At home, we sleep on a "Tempapedic" (sic) contraption that BG ordered a few months ago. It is a fun contraption that can perform all sorts of magic tricks and really affords a good night's sleep as well as being a fine "Super Bowl" for more erotic activities (when I can find the remote control box for it).

We are thinking about getting one for the ranch house but they are awfully pricey.....I'd rather have another horse, LOL.

At the Ranch we sleep on an antique four-poster with a Sealy mattress.

We use nice cotton sheets much of the time but also slip on the satin sheets for special events.

Wintertime brings flannel sheets, especially at the ranch....brrrrrrrr! When we saddle up and ride fence at the ranch and sleep in the old "line shack" some distance from the ranch house, we use sleeping bags that can be zipped together...so we can be zipped together! We never sleep in the line shack during warm weather...heat and bugs, y'know.

But, in the winter, sleeping bags and that old pot-bellied stove are really romantic. No potty though...bummer, and only a well pump for water.

Kerosene lamps add atmosphere, I guess,LOL.

We prefer solid color sheets, mostly white, ecru, light blue and, sometimes, red.

We prefer electric "blankies" instead of using the central heat. Besides, they warm the bed before you crawl in! Then we shut them off and provide warmth using the friction method....blush!

I guess that pretty much sums it up......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.πŸ₯±
