Pride Parade

The Pride Parade in Hilo is Saturday July 12th, and I am not only going, I am going to march in it.

Yes you herd right.

The church I have been going to is a gay church and we are marching in the parade advertizing our church, so I will be carrying one end of the poll holding up our banner, The Metropolitan Community Church, yes even a pagan can go to church.

My roommate will also be in the parade, only he will be in costume, I will tell you all later.

I took over a 140 pictures, the parade was great, then a party followed. We arrived about 8:30 this morning for a Parade that started at 11, the party was still going on when we throw in the towel about 4pm.

The thing I noticed was how many kids were their and were in the parade, about 40 different groups were there and it was just fun.

Now if I can figure out how to post some of these in a file that can be opened I will share some of the pictures I took.

Are they still throwing Virgins into volcanoes out there? What a waste...

No I think they ended that practice a couple centuries ago. They threw them in with the consonants and started running out of both. See below
