Re: Eunuch Gender Identity
Here's a link to a scholarly document about the waria of Indonesia. At first they seem crossdressing men, but there is more to their identity that is curioously intersexual? Are they eunuch? No, in that they are physically intact, but their tolerated life as part-women part-men is unusual?
Anyway it's a good read:

Never mind the scholarly whatever above, the Hannah Brooks documentary about the Waria for VICE travel is well worth another look. The remarkable Maryani is an inspiration to all whose sexuality doesn't quite fit with local expectations.
Makes you almost want to jump into a jilbab-and-sarouel and sign up with Mariani! Anyway, she's remarkable and it would be good if one could help her kindness.

I am in agreement with many of the previous posts. I, too, check my empty sac to remind myself of why I went that route... but with no real regrets. My wife of 50 years is okay with my choice. We give each other back rubs, since sex is too mechanical now. Castration solved my personal problem. 'nuf sed.

Questioning , I could have written your post: fetish interest at first, the realization that I know in my heart I'm a eunuch not a man. And the blessing / complication of having a solid partner

I too could have written most of your post Questioning. Almost verbatim. Except that eventually my partner got over the fear of losing me and supported it. I was castrated this week. I intend to use HRT but obviously can't report yet on how that plays out. Feel free to PM me if you wish to speak further. I empathize with the choice you face. So much.

Re: Eunuch Gender Identity
I read through all these posts and I sit here wondering where all these thoughts come from. Here I am a eunuch, not by choice, and wonder what it would be like to be back normal with the nuts I was born with. I lost the first one from torsion many years ago when I was 18. This last one just a year ago after a hernia operation. The first loss probably did some psychological damage to me because it took me till I was 31 to get married and I was a virgin. It boggles my mind that I could have been a eunuch at 18. At that time I had an undescended testicle that was supposed to have been removed when I was 7 years old. A family tragedy changed all that and by the time we got back together it had been forgotten about. If that had been done then at 18 I would have been a eunuch. Glad it was delayed till a year ago. At least now at my age it's just living the best I can.

Cheer up!
There are lots of folk who are happy as eunuch, and many would not have it any other way.
sometimes, what life throws at you can turn out for the best?

Re: Eunuch Gender Identity
Back to the original post by Questioning, the dilemma seems to focus on whether to go through the personal wish of becoming a eunuch vs. losing the partner. Perhaps a series of discussions is in order, possibly with the help of a LGBTQ therapist. Fetish over time can feel like real desire. Some unfortunate ones may go through with castration, just to find out that without the testosterone, one no longer have the wish to become eunuchs. So, please consider the decision thoroughly in understanding one's own motivations of getting castrated. Of course, many others are happy with their castration, like myself, a chemical eunuch. However, in this world of mostly sexual beings, finding a partner who loves our eunuch status is inconvenient at best, near impossible - at least from my own experience.
About the partner, it is important to get the partner on board on this journey. You don't want to lose a nice partner, and the ability to find a new partner, all in one clip.

We all know we were born with male parts and eventually that has to come up with your partner. He might love it or hate it.
Plus when you have your penis amputated to resemble a vagina you still don't have ovaries and you have a prostate and other male parts....that's why I feel offended with this whole transsexual thing being forced on me. I have to take hormones and get a pussy they say...well no I am not taking hormones and I had an orchiectomy. I don't want a vagina nor will I get one. I am a eunuch and I love that.
No I don't think I am a woman I am a feminine biological male who needs an orchiectomy and a penectomy in order to be happy.
I wish my gender said E on all my ID's so everyone knows I am a castrated male.![]()
I am totally get what you are saying, I am seeing a MD now and can see if I was talking transgender the path would much easier. I often think how many years ago eunuchs were common and transgender was not heard of. I think male to eunuch will soon be more accepted. It bothers me that a woman could get breast reduction or enhancement, labia surgery, and a hysterectomy and go on hormones but a man is not taken seriously when he wants something similar. Double standard!
