So... a spot that was dark and kind of shriveled compared to the skin around it appeared rather suddenly at the base of my penis near the scrotum. It hasn't been identified yet. The doctor speaks optimistically but he may just be trying to not freak me out. He did mention the possibility of amputation but seemed to present it as a worst-case scenario that seemed unlikely because I was smart enough to get on it early.
About a week ago, he did a biopsy and I guess it's being sent off to a lab. Some theories are a yeast infection (who knew guys could get those), or maybe even a very mild form of cancer that is rarely malignant and can be treated with a cream. Left mostly unsaid but implied is that it may be something more serious, I guess cancer, hence the mention of amputation. In the middle of those extremes is that it's precancerous and may require less serious surgery to just remove a bit of skin.
I very much hope that it's not serious and that I will get to keep all of my junk and, of course, there's the potential for it to be life-threatening if it does turn out to be serious even if they had to take some or all of my junk. That said, I have been a member of this website for some years and I think have been a lurker and reader of fiction on it for longer. I've written a story or two as well. I'm much more dom oriented than sub oriented and most, but not all, of my fantasies about the subject have primarily been about being with guys who had been emasculated in some way while remaining intact myself. I used to be sub-oriented when I was younger and some small part of me will always relate to that. I think that has helped me to cope with the possibility of some sort of serious surgery. At the root of my fetishes seems to remain this notion of one partner as clearly more masculine and dominant and the other clearly more androgynous and submissive, though I'm 100% gay and not into women.
It's a very weird place to be. I'm definitely worried and kind of on the edge of my seat to hear the results of the biopsy and hoping it will be good news, but I'm not panicky. I try to imagine what my sex life would be like and I'm thinking it would most likely just be non-existent. I would live for other things and I feel like I have a lot to live for outside of sex. I also try to imagine if I could enjoy life as a sub with damaged to nonexistent genitals, hopefully with a partner who could even fetishize that in the same way that I do. I much prefer the idea of having my genitals worshipped but who knows?
Crossing fingers. I'll try to remember to update this thread when I know something.

Re: A strange spot on my penis
Hi There,
Here's hoping that all will be well. I will say that prior to any issues with a biopsy I am not fond of a surgeon/doctor even mentioning a treatments as radical as amputation, especially with the position you describe. Why give a patient that to worry about ?
In the long run it is likely either a small skin cancer, or some sort of infection that can certainly be cleared with at worst a small tissue removal. You could further check things yourself by determining if the area is connected to the inner tissue or is simply in the outer skin.
Either way good luck , and may you have a mild outcome from this.

I should have posted here sooner. I forgot I'd made this post. Not cancer. It's something rather minor that is not contagious and will go away on its own but he has given me some cream to speed that up. Whew!
