Im curious. Exposed testes?

Post by thewave22 (imported) »

Can a man live his life without scrotum, but with his testicles exposed? I heard abut such condition with my grandfather, he stepped on a land-mine in a war but made it through, im unable to ask for details though.

What do u guys know/think?

Btw i have no idea where this thread belong.

My first thought if the scrotum was destroyed so were the contents. I do not know how advanced skin grafts were at the time but a scrotum might have been constructed. I do not know how the testes would survive without skin creating a barrier to protect them from infection. On the other hand if the scrotum had only been torn open they may have been able to close the remaining skin giving your grandfather a very tight scrotum.

Wouldn't it damage the sperm production? I mean, they should be far from the body to create the right temperature for sperm producing? Or am i getting this whole thing wrong?

Were his children born before he left for war? Were any adopted? Only your grandfather knows for sure.

Kids were born after the war, i wish i could ask him but he passed away long ago...

As far as i know, he was able to walk, so i guess it wasn't that bet relatively to landmines nowadays/at all.

I guess the scrotum was not torn completely, cuz then the content would be damaged as well.

But my question is more general, lets say... Can a 'naked balls' bodymod possible? If it does, under what conditions?

That is true for most mammals but not for elephants and maybe other mammals. Does anyone know why elephants do not need external testicles?

I know someone's managed a pair of scroti, one per ball before.

Their body temperature must be low enough so that meiosis can occur and make sperm cells inside their body. The only reason that male mammals have scrotums is so that the sperm can be made. I do not recall what that body temperature is now to enable the process of meiosis to make sperm cells...

Note:

Exposed testicles implies that there is a LARGE break in the skin. Soon, it would become infected. That could cause a sepsis of which one might die...

I love EA! Where else do we get to consider an elephant's scrotum as it it were our own? Never mind that we forgot about the elephant (fine intelligent and noble creature) on the way. While an elephant's scrotum may be about as much use as a guinea pig's tail, only on EA is it the stuff of discussion!

BTW, mine is every bit as big as an elephant's, a glorious thought in itself!
