The great graphic novels of Sci Fi and the magazine that brought them to the world is METAL HURLANT in France or HEAVY METAL in the USA. So oversees producers have brought the stories to 30 minute live action shows.

The setup is simple, a metal meteor, the fragment of a dead planet, is hurling through place - screaming out to the worlds it passes, bringing chaos, bringing change. (hey, I write short stories, so I can get flowery)

Also, SYFY is running both season one and two together - matching 1st episodes through 6th episodes over six weeks,

Season #1 - Episode #1: King’s Crown

a) SPARTACUS had better sword fights and bloodier ones but then this is SYFY during the 8pm hour and can’t show that level of violence. The fight between Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins is good.

b) I must admit that I didn’t pick out the end until the (eeeeuuuuuuwwww!) creepy end.

Season 2 - Episode #1: The Endomorphe

A cyborg revolt. Humans versus really ugly and nasty creatures. This is the quintessential story - a predestined innocent is transformed into the hero and wins the battle. It sounds simple like Harry Potter or any of a dozen similar stories but this story is pure Sci Fi. I liked this story. It’s a bit evil. Really revolting creature-like bad guys and a nice twist at the end.

Too many commercials but that’s SYFY for ya.
