Sexual orientation of EA members
Hi, I've been a couple of years here and have noticed that there are lots of gay people here, way more than one would expect by the general population (some 3% of people are homosexual I think). So I thought we could make some statistics.
I'm straight-leaning bisexual myself.
Where do you fit by sexual orientation?

Guess I'll go first. Bi since adolescence and happily married for 49 years with an understanding wife. Same as many women, she lost interest in sexual activity when menopause came along. I was OK with it because as the years went by I lost all interest in women as my preference for men became exclusive. I always found sex with men more exciting anyway. Now I really crave the intimacy and closeness of a like minded guy more than just sex. I call myself a Kinsey 5 because I am married. Otherwise I'd be a 6. I'm only attracted to straight acting guys or those close to it, not the flaming freaks who seem to just crave attention by wearing it on their sleeve. Not many older guys fit that description anyway.

Bisexual but more gay than straight. I even married a woman in my youth in an attempt to cure myself. Didn't work.

Due to how the brain might masculinize or feminize some men are naturally more feminine. I am out to all I know so am I wearing it on my sleeve? Or am I just proud and want my rights?

Intact I thought of myself as gay and as a eunuch I think of myself as straight while being attracted to men in both states. As a third gender I think of men and women as my opposites with me somewhere in the middle. I can relate to both and feel like neither. Physically and emotionally I have always been attracted to men and unlike some my desires did not become more fluid. I enjoy the company of women more than before but still no interest in anything physical.

I consider myself as Bi. I have never been attracted exclusively to either men or women although the degree of attraction depends on the circumstances and on the individual. --FLO--

When I first joined this site I considered myself a straight guy.
Nowadays, having been on HRT for 14.5 months, I identify as a bisexual woman.
