Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
I suppose I was aware of the general concept at puberty (11 or 12 years old) just by thinking more intensely about my genitals. After all, they stick out from one's body just begging to be messed with. A few years later I grasped the thought that this was a terrible thing to do to someone - at nearly the same time I reasoned that the principal horror is the lack of consent and the use of force. At that time I did not think of myself as the subject of castration. The "moment of truth" for me came when I served with the army in a combat zone and heard all sorts of stories from other soldiers about castrations done by both sides to their "enemies". I became aroused by these stories and thinking about them. At the time I had a Chinese girlfriend who didn't think my reaction to castration was unusual or even undesirable. That removed nearly all of my inhibitions and I became determined to find out about everything I could about castration. --FLO--

About the age of 8 or 9 found out about humans being castrated at about the age of 13 to 14 maybe if I recall correctly.

Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
Had seen castrations on the animals on my grandfather's small acreage. Didn't connect until I was about 8 years old. Started to develop a fascination and began doing things to make my testicles hurt: would bounce up and down on a section of fence that was made of round poles, found grandfather's old castrating tool that looked like a pair of pruning shears that worked in reverse: the handles pulled apart to do the deed. All hell broke loose when I was found to have some blood stains on my underwear( was a VERY close call) and the device disappeared. Have escalated the pain(s) over the years. Still just a fascination, as I need all the stamina and strength I can muster.

Peter47-NL (imported) wrote: Sat May 10, 2014 4:19 am I knew about castration before puberty. We boys were telling jokes like about the bull Hannibal who was in a field and in the adjacent field separated by a barbed wire fence was a cow. The bull wanted gladly be with the cow and jumped over the fence while his balls were caught on the barbed wire. "Nice to see you Hannibal" said the cow. "Call me Hanny," said the bull "while my balls are hanging now on the fence."
I didn't like the pubertal changes and knew they were caused by my testicles, I must have been about 12 yo and also started to band my balls. As a choirboy I knew that my alt voice would change. At that age I admired some boy singers of my age and was aware that they only could keep their voice by getting castrated.
I have been thinking about my post and thought something was not right, my memory is not correct. Until 12-13 I had no idea about the real functions of genitals, except for pissing, my hairless penis was very practical to piss with, better than a vagina. Until that age (12-13) I believed that when a man and woman loved each other very much that God decided they would get a child and the baby began to grow in the belly of the mother. I'll never forget the day my father took me for a walk or bicycle ride and i se us still sitting on a bench near Heliport the Sabena helicopter field for a quick connection between our town Eindhoven to the Brussels airport. There it was that my father said he had to talk with me and spoke about testicles, seeds, penis, vagina and eggs. Surprised I referred to a dirty joke boys told about fucking. Yes, my father agreed that it was like the point of the joke. That night I cried the whole night long. My parents did such dirty things like fucking, I was a seed, just a seed. My genitals were not only to piss with. My balls had to produce such seeds in future. The awareness of such thing as a castration does not fit in this childish thinking.
So it is very uncertain that
and that I started to band my balls about 12. That must have been much later. I was rather late in my sexual devellopment, had no ejaculation before my 14th. I still didn't know how to masturbate at 17. It is true that didn't like the changes during puberty, I wanted to stay the boy with the hairless crotch and the small penis.
I remember my admiration for the boy singer of my age and the idea of keeping his voice by castration, then I was certainly about 14-15 yo.
Coming to the question of this threat: It must have been around 14-15.

I was raised on a farm. At age 9 I helped castrate pigs. That set me on a life long desire to loose my balls. 16 years ago I did it. I am now asexual, married and free of the burning lust desires manhood placed upon me. My wife was supportive of our decision and we are now the best of friends.

Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
I remember asking mum what a eunuch is and she explained to me at the age of 8. She explained how they had their balls removed and sometimes their penis too. She did explain to me what my balls and dick are for and how they would change when I go through puberty. Up until that point I paid very little attention with my balls.
Since the age of 5, I wanted my dick gone when a teacher from school threatened to cut it off by placing a big scissors next to it. I was scared and started to cry and I remember I also wanted her to cut off at the same time. Ever since then I always dream about seeing my dick cut off.
I wish I have never entered puberty, I would much rather having hairless balls and dick.

Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
(Thought I replied to this when it first came up. Eh, well.)
I learned about castration in school, weirdly enough. In the sense that, in sixth grade, when we were going over the Holocaust, the teacher mentioned castration and rape, and immediately said to ask our parents if we didn't already know. So, naturally, I turned to the student to my left and got the answer 30 seconds later.
It wasn't until 3 years later that I discovered the connection between testicles and testosterone. (Sex ed was back in sixth grade, too, and covered semen production, and named a couple organs, and that was pretty much it.) By then, puberty was already much further along than I wanted, and I mostly made this discovery because I was researching things I could do about it.
(Shortly there after, Health class finally pointed out the connection as well, because someone up there has a curious sense of humor.)
Completely unrelated, about halfway between my discovering castration and discovering what it could do, I heard a story about vigilantes castrating a criminal who made bale, and wound up having a dream that a couple of my teachers were involved in such activities and mistook me for a criminal. There wasn't anything particularly sexual about it; I just spent the rest of the dream (which involved some sort of action movie plot or something) without balls. Part of the cut area burned a little at one point when I was trying to make a dramatic entrance, but that's about it.
One might argue that the first nocturnal incident was castration-related, in the sense that, in the accompanying dream, I somehow managed to detach my genitals, which apparently came with the adjacent pubic hair-covered region, in an attempt to remove said hair all at once. I wound up putting it all back on because (or so I thought) I had to pee. This did not end as I'd oped.

Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
but one story really hit me like a ton of bricks. The only story with castration about a cuckold husband castrated by wife and lover. I was scared shwitless by that story, but I was so turned on by it. I was panting, shaking, and totally turned on by a story so scary and wrong. How could this man like this, want this done to him, get a hard on during his own castration?
Ahhh, the good ol' fearboner effect.
Be it known, you're not the only one to get that. :p
As for fantasy, that's fine. As for vasectomy versus castration, I wonder if there' said surgeon who was willing to do a sham surgery? You know, stuff 'em behind the pelvic bone intact. The temperature would tend to prevent sperm maturation, but without messing up your hormone balance.

Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
There are any number of fascinating approaches that are really exciting if you're unhappy with condoms, or want another layer of assurance that you won't end up in a shotgun wedding. That injection - called RISUG in the literature, and trademarked as Vasalgel - is particularly promising. Radio-controlled implants serving the same function have been discussed as well - perhaps a larger needle installing them, but reversal involves clicking a key-fob rather than further injections. A couple who wanted to space their children out to help afford college costs would find this approach quite convenient, for example. Ultrasound can be used to disrupt maturation of sperm for months at a time, presumably reversibly, or used to zap a plug into the head of the epididymus, for a vasectomy requiring no painkillers, scalpels or needles, and taking only sixty seconds.
Hell, here's an index of those that are being considered for veterinary use: http://www.parsemusfoundation.org/hormo ... ilization/
Anything we can do to a dog, we can do to a person, and there's a whole lot we can do to a dog these days.

Re: At what age were you aware of castration?
I was about 11 when I learned about it, then about 12 or so when I leanred more, I did not know about the testosterone effect etc, It was really a turn on at that age and teen years, then the reality of infection and having to have them removed due to Orchitis etc, was rather difficult. Then being through some very abusive recent relation that has been really rough with a lady that was older than me and tore apart my life preety good, getting back up though.

Only did it because I wanted to stop masturbating too frequently. Thought testicles were only for sperms production, until I became aware about the Testosterone effect.
