High Hematocrit and red blood cells wit T injections

Post by Wellesley (imported) »

Does anyone else have the issue?

I know what the treatment options are, leaches or stopping the T injection until the blood gets thinner.

Cheers

I on the other hand have alarm low levels of red, white and platelets. My oncologist did not think it was due to low T. I have never used HRT before so I do not know all issues that come with T. I decided that I was not going further when I feel good.

How are you feeling? Any signs of problems? Is your body trying to tell you anything? I have learned to listen to my body more than my doctors. Oh but leaches can be fun and numb the area where they attach.

High hemoglobin is not usually a bad thing as long as it doesn't go much above 16g/dl, and is a well known property of T. So it may be that the T is also high, and it is also known that too much T increases risk of many health issues: liver disease, arterial disease inc heart attack and stroke. Ask the doc to look into it.

Full details are in the testosterone cypionate package insert. Congratulations.

Maybe if we tank up every eunuch with T, we'd get more blood donors. Maybe not. ;)

Wow neither of my docs suggested I use T. Of course that may not solve my issues. Some days I do feel like I could use a few more red blood cells.

Mileage varies, as they say, but personally I know: no T = hemoglobin 12g, normal range T, 14g, and one measurement of slightly over-T, 15g.

Some get this on low doses of testosterone and others can take massive doses and never get this side effect. I actually used to get it when I 1st started using testosterone (for bodybuilding purposes) and just stayed with it and it eventually went away on its own. Also, some forms of T. are worse about it than others. testosterone Enanthate comes to mind....

Note: I treated mine by drinking pickle juice every so often until my body adapted and stopped over producing blood. but I'm sure aspirin works too.

Thanks for the replies

Yes, using testosterone ethanate

hahaha My package insert is all in Japanese so reading it is a tough one.

I got my "free testosterone" back from the lab. It is 3.7pg/mL

According to the lab that makes me closer to a woman in her 20s (2.7pg/mL) than a guy in his 30s (7.6 - 23.1 pg/mL)

Currently taking half of a 125mg amp once per week/ 10 days. Otherwise the crushing depression and sleep issues hit me like a brick wall. I made it 2 weeks last year in August when I traveled to Europe. Not something I want to do again. (over 12 days I get serious mental issues very dramatically)
