Presenting the idea of chemical castration to a doctor.- please share some advise
Hello, I've never used this site before but I was directed here by somebody on AVEN, so if I've missed something critical or this topic has been done over and over, sorry. So I recently turned 18, and I don't know what my sexual preference is if you will, I'm not interested in sex, romance or relationships. I don't often see people and find a sexual urge, but sometimes I get a flash of sexual images and I wouldn't claim I have no libido but it's so so small that it's like smoke but no fire. It's hard for me to feel a sexual pulse but I can still have this ever sharp strike through. I try to look at pornography and/or masturbate if I feel backed up. I can do it but it's an extremely hard action to go through, I find it emotionally, physically painful and degrading. It haunts me and effects me in my everyday life. It's like I have no sexual attraction, but a very minuscule desire. It's a viscous cycle for me that I wish to end, as it's not bringing me any good.
I'd like to propose a chem castration trial to a doctor. I don't know how often doctors deal with this and am afraid of being dismissed as confused and not knowing what I want, or the doctor to give me the run-around putting me on some antidepressant or telling I outta see a psychologist.
How do I find someone who will work with me and is it a struggle? will I have to see countless doctors before someone agrees, or just go through hoop after hoop? Any advice or sharing your experience will help me very much.

Welcome! Just the right place to fine chemical and other advice about castration.
This is an issue that this seen very differently by different medical people.
I would make sure that your doc or counselor is someone you can talk to about this, otherwise find another one you is more receptive to your concerns. Hope you strike lucky first time, if not try again.
Read the posts here, and don't be hasty. There are many here who have used chemical means to explore how castration feels.

Hi Leo,
If you have or can see a female doctor and state that you're hyper-sexual and are having difficulties controlling your sexual desires, she'll treat you with chemical castration drugs like Depo Provera. Female doctors are more sensitive generally to men who are having sexual urge issues. You can, if you're brave tell her that you're addicted to porn or other sexual fantasies that you are having difficulty controlling and that they are ruining your life. I'm am 90% sure it'll work. Women, female doctors included, do not want men walking around who are sexually out of control. Hash
P.S. When my female doctor talked to me about being a eunuch, I told her how much I enjoyed the results and that if more men were castrated we'd have a better world to live in. She said, "I'd have to agree with that!" No kidding!

That isn't exactly accurate, but is it okay to stretch the truth? I'm willing to say that if I gotta to at least try. The the thing is I'm not sexually attracted but I still have a libido so it's an anchor in my life. I just want the monsters to go away.
Ps. did you just beg or did it take you some running around?

I have to agree with Hash: my female PCP also seems entirely accepting of how I enjoy being a eunuch. She seems interested in how it feels on or off the T, and willingly adjusts prescriptions accordingly. I was already nutted when I first went to her, so I don't know if she'd be receptive to someone asking for a chemical trial, but she chats about the eunuch state much more freely than any male doc I've been with, including most urologists. So, no guarantees, but maybe a female doc is a good place to start.

This seems to be a bit like me ... I call myself neutrois as an asexual who wants to be gender- and sex-neutral too.

I am not sure lying to the doctor is a good idea.Hash (imported) wrote: Wed Feb 12, 2014 8:34 am Hi Leo,

I don't want to rock the boat here but, from what you have indicated is that you have a low libido and when and if you have a urge you find it difficult to finish or finalize it. I highly suggest you get a testosterone test and find out what your level is. You are too young and inexperienced to want to castrate yourself at this point without a baseline. You might find that if
you are hypogonadal, this could be a reason for your current situation.

I don't want my libido to grow if that's what you suggest I try, if I really did have a low libido, it's just not me. Fanning the flames there seems like the wrong road to take for me, personally. I understand the worry about making a rash choice. It seems like going on at least a trial is better than keeping stagnant.

It is still excellent advice to get a baseline testosterone level for a reference point against which to judge efficacy of any chemical regime. I agree with fhunter. Lying is not a good idea. You might be well advised to find a gender psychiatrist to prescribe for you after a test.
