Is Dr. Arnkoff the only one who does castration now?

It's been a couple of years and I didn't really pay much attention to the information after I found out what the anticipated charges would be from Dr. Fara. IIRC it runs near $5,000.00 including his fee and the hospital he uses for the procedure. I found several experience reports and I think some of those are on the website mentioned above and those all seem to be favorable.

I did not find a link to any testimonials on Dr. Fara's web page. Were they in the other links?

Thanks. Too bad there wasn't a testimonial of any sort for the "nip/tuck" guys coming to the EA are looking for.

Still, it's good an actual MD has stepped up, even if he is expensive.

I contacted Dr Fara earlier this year about getting an orchie and was quoted five grand. Dr Arnkoff is much cheaper charging three grand.

For these prices you can get a round trip to Thailand and still save money. I've not seen a price above $500 for a simple orchie. While US medicine is famously expensive, Dr F seems to be testing the limit with a 10x markup?

Dr Fara probably has to charge more since he uses a hospital surgery room and does it under general anesthesia as well as pays for all of the before and after medications. When I went was there he charged $5000 but the hospital took $2500 so that left him with less than $2500 since he paid for the meds out of his cut of it and the anesthesiologist probably took $500. Dr Fara is pretty cool, he even took me to my hotel room and made sure I had plenty of ice and access to food since I didn't have anyone with me. It was well above and beyond what I expected from a plastic surgeon.

This good to know. I hope that he does well, even if so expensive. It is hopefully a one-time expense, and the result to be enjoyed for ever.

It is always so welcome when healthcare professionals treat us kindly as real people.
