it has not been smooth sailing for sure however like all things its turning around for the best. Today my new house mate landlord took me to church, yes you herd me right, me in church, however its a non religious what ever and full of every kind of person you can think of from young families to old and grey, the gay pride flag is flown proudly along with other religious stuff. It was different that's for sure, but anything to make my new landlord happy, so its church on Sunday. I know a pagan in church.

Update, my son is back in California, he bailed on me, the little shit. My cargo is in Hilo but I dont have the place or money to get it right now so paying for storage. It seems I have found simi temp housing for a while, maybe I think. (that was a qualified maybe). Nelly is doing fine and has a new cat friend, but I really miss Rupert.

In some ways this has not been a good move, but in other ways its the best move of my life. Its the island, its raw energy, its Aloha, there is something about this island that I can't explain, its like no other place on earth. yesterday I went to a birthday party at the senior center, it was special, Irv turned 100, today I stopped by and one little old lady called me son, she is 94, she got a hug and kiss. Like I said, there is an energy here, its the spirit of the volcano, it is different then anything I have ever experienced.

The place I am living at is a two story, from the upstairs window you see the ocean, you can hear the waves pounding the surf at night and it puts you to sleep, you look at the stars and there are millions of them, people here are free, free in ways I can't explain, iits Aloha.

Nelly and I are here to stay, I never want to leave, Wisconsin seems a lifetime ago not two months. Hawai'i has been good to me health wise, I am down to 230lbs I have lost 6 inches around my middle. Its community involvement that captures you and decides your fate, its the drums, the drums at the camp fire, people would rather get together and play music and dance then watch TV or even stay at home and play on the pc. Its family, there is no other place like it.
