Its been a few weeks now since my first shot of lupron. This doctor wasn't kidding when he said that this shuts things down. It took a couple weeks, but I am getting closer to being a chemical eunuch. For about a week I noticed myself getting less horny, and getting weaker erections. Congratulations on your findings. I hope that they are what you'd wanted. Findings are often different that what is expected. But then sometimes they are great.

Good to hear that most of the changes suit you. The get-up-and-go that comes easily with T, I find, is more something of get-yourself-up-and-go when it's not there! It's a change of personal habit as much as anything. I think of it as another aspect of me being in control of me , rather than the T driving how I feel. On the whole, it's very good.

Hope you remember to jack off, because I didn't! I got rather too much busied with the rest of life, and even though I'm back on T now, it isn't that important to remember. On balance, life is much improved!

Just a quick update. The lupron trial went very well and basically made me impotent. On the advice of my councilor and urologist I got surgically castrated rather than wait to get another shot of Lupron. Thanks for all the support from the eunuch archive, I know I made the right decision. It was done yesterday morning / afternoon and it took about an hour and a half. The urologist did it in his office, and since it was done with a "laser scalpel" it was done with minimal pain or bleeding. The incision is down the middle of my scrotum, about 2" long, and should heal up in about a month. The urologist showed me my nuts after the surgery, it was pretty cool to see them. He said they are medical waste and will be thrown away. I am taking tylenol and using ice packs, my scrotum is a little swollen but this should go down pretty quick.

Yes, the "handiwork" takes just a little while to settle. Ice good for the first couple of days or so. Tylenol ok, but I found Motrin (or generic) did better for me. Soon I didn't need anything. -And now feel much better than I did before.

It's not an easy journey for any of us, and we each learn much on the way. I do hope that you'll feel able to share some help for others on this journey.

Congratulations. You seem to have come through the indecision OK, and got what you needed. The next few weeks/months may be difficult with T withdrawal. Expect some hot flashes, fatigue, etc. They are usually manageable. We will support as much as we can!
