Today I am setting aside things we will be using in the kitchen for the next couple days, everything else gets packed. I set aside one box that will hold all this Kitchen stuff from pans to platters. Once we start loading the truck that box will go with us then when in California I will send it to us in Hawaii.

As for energy, I am done. My back hurts I sprained my finger and I am exhausted, there is not much left to do, finish packing the kitchen then my desk and sometime Sunday we will pack up the PC's and desks. Monday I will pack up my bed, its an air bed so it will come apart nicely. Once that is done its load the moving van and my truck and hand over the keys.

There is not much left, 5 to 6 hours at most. Patt has been over with his son and will be home later today, I am leaving the rest for him, me I think I am going back to bed.

One thing I have noticed with this move, the stress involved in a move has been increased, this is like moving to another country and what you miss is gone or could hold you up along the line. Physically I am done, mentally I am over done, I feel my age.

"like" is the right word. Nearly 4000 miles counts as a MOVE. (in all caps)

Take it easy. Hawaii has paper plates and plastic forks if you forgot something like that.

I once went to a 4 day conference without a hairbrush, comb, toothbrush or razor. It's not the end of the world.

Now forgetting your pants, that's a different matter. Dentures are hard to do without, too.

Worry about what counts

Well after I posted that I got in my recliner turned on the TV and slept for 4 hours. Its midnight and I feel much better.

Tomorrow Patt and I will finish the kitchen then pack away the pc's and take apart the desks while we watch the football games.

Monday will be a long day and we will be off line most of it.

Except for the things like my bed and the PC/s which were still using everything is packed, over 50 boxes and tubs. Its 2:30 and everything is about done, time for football.

No I was going to leave Tuesday however Carlos called this evening, he is the dispatcher for the trucking company that is picking up my stuff and the truck broke down so now I am not sure when I am leaving.

Carlos will call me in the morning and we will talk about options.

I just called Carlos but he was not in the office, he was looking into how they are going to get a truck to me.

OH the joys of moving.

So I just called the cable company and put of turning everything off for a day or so, when I know I will call Lori back and let her know.

And here we sit and the weather is not going to hold.

I swear when I get to Hawaii I am going to curl up in a ball and sleep for a week.

Near a warm and sunny beach with a giant Mai Tai nearby…

BTW - just for laughs I have a question: How many times can a politician be a "Virgin who always tells the truth?" and still be a virgin?

Answer: Until the never-ending blood sport of politics stops!
