Today is Monday, move fish day. So we got up late as I had a bad night and Patt and I went through all the tubs and boxes in the basement, we brought up more then I thought we would but some of them I just need to go thorough and sort. We also have several empty tubs that need to be washed out then filled with tank water and one with fish. These will go to talula's and Gemm's place (their new home). I also need to pack the power head, air stone and filter. Then when we get back, I need to finish emptying the tank and remove all the rock and other things that make up the tank, clean it and tomorrow we load it into the truck tank and stand and it goes over to Talula's too. It will be a fun two days just getting the fish moved. For those of you who want to know, its a 100 gal tank.

Moving is a bitch.

More later this week, I hope.

Moving is a bitch.

..

People ask me what do I fear --

I answer: Cleaning a closet, my desk, the various junk drawers, putting my toolbox in order

Those are things that fill me with a dread that is beyond sane…

Moving = nightmare

It took me a day just to go through and sort my tools. Another day for the books and assorted things hanging on the wall.

Today the fish and water, tomorrow the Tank and stand.

Gorgeous hikes are as ubiquitous and as varied as rainbows in Hawaii. Everyone has their favorites for sunset or sunrise, for adrenaline vs. tranquility, for a workout vs. a stroll, but there's only one hike that provides a little bit of everything: views, adrenaline, secrecy, tranquility ... even illegality.

The Haiku stairs on Oahu -- also known as the Stairway to Heaven -- is the one hike to rule them all.

Amidst the lush Koolau mountain range, the 3,922 steps lead up to the stunning Puu Keahiakahoe summit. The stairway was originally wooden and was installed during World War II so the military could access a radio station antennae 2,000 feet up the mountain. In the 1950s, the stairs were replaced with steel steps that led to a newly established Coast Guard navigation station.

The navigation station has been closed since the 1980s and the hike is also off-limits now; a security guard sits at its entrance for most of the day and the Honolulu Board of Water Supply -- which has jurisdiction over the hike -- requires that anyone who goes up it sign waivers and present a $1 million liability insurance policy.

But that hasn't stopped elusive hikers and ambitious Instagrammers.

Some of the hike's scariest moments are early on, when you're forced to climb a ladder vertically up a steep mountain face. Soon thereafter, however, the stairway takes you above the noisy highway below, and meanders its way along the ridgeline, balancing between terrifying and exhilarating. Thankfully, several viewing points throughout remind you to look up and around at the green mountains above you, the glistening water below you, and the sharp sunlight bouncing off the clouds all around you.

Other then having issues with Heights, it looks like an incredible hike.

Today the tank, then on to Midas for the muffler, then crunch time.

Note, after Sunday we will be off line for the most part for a month or so.

Anything that truck needs, get it now!

You might consider a tune up kit, like plugs and wires, to take and install later.

Yep, just had a tune up, oil change, new water pump, the only thing left is the muffler then its good to go.

And yes everything is more expensive in Hawaii, except fish and fruit which is much cheaper.

Moving the tank did not happen today, instead we got 6 in of snow, for joy. So tomorrow I will try again to move the tank. I did get more boxes and changed my address with the post office. I paid off the move so now its just put gas in the truck and go everything is paid for until the end of Feb.
