If I published a eunuch fiction book would you get it?

Post by charlieboy (imported) »

Hey, names Chip, 23.

I'm currently working on the finishing touches of a fictional book about castration and eunuchs. I wanted to do a self publishing deal and was wondering if people would be interested in getting it? I probably won't try to publish it if I don't get a lot of interest.

I thought it was be somewhat cool because there are no fictional stories beyond this site that I know of about castration and so forth.

Let me know if it's something if interest.

Only if the castration or being a Eunuch lead to feminisation!

I used to buy porn magazines and novels with any castration stories I could find. I found a fairly good amount of fiction. As a eunuch I would now have zero interest in a book of fiction since I have lived the experience. This site works hard to get the facts out about being a eunuch or wanting to be a eunuch. I am not sure a book of fiction would serve the community well. On the other hand it could be a good read depending on your talent.

After castration one typically loses most of his interest in sexual fantasy. Since a significant number of our active members are eunuchs or hypogonadal or are in the process of becoming this way, perhaps you should be asking this question on other websites too.

I enjoy reading good fiction, but it has to be a good story first. I need to care about the characters. I need to get inside the characters' heads--or at least the main character's. I need to feel something when I read it. I might get into a good story in which a character gets castrated or is already a eunuch, especially if the story is insightful, but I wouldn't buy a book just because it was about castration and eunuchs. Also--and I hope you don't take this wrong--I'd suggest that you get help with editing if you're hoping to sell the book commercially. There were multiple grammatical errors in your posting, and such things detract from even a compelling story line.

Sandi good point about the need for character development.

I wonder what other writings charlieboy has finished so far. Any other examples we could read?

Yes, the book-craft has to be impeccable; there's no room out there for speling and misprunts to detract from a fine narative around carefully built characters and background. Whether it's about losing the nuts or whatever comes way down my list. It's a topic that grabs public attention -not always positively. There's a possibility of making a book for a general readership. I have to agree with Tugon, that if you actually have no nuts, the fictional possibility of losing them is of very little interest. The important thing is a good read!

I am also curious about your research. I hope this book is not a cut and past of the lives and stories here. Even in fiction the facts need be correct.

I think the answer is yes and no. For me it would depend on the subject matter. Kids getting castrated? Not that interested. Stories about straight men with women in them? Again, not that interested.

If it's a longer work, you may wish to submit the first chapter to the fiction archive here. It would give the users a taste of what you're writing without giving them the whole thing. It might encourage some of them to get your book.

Of course, that's all up to you and I wish you success whichever direction you go with the book.
