On the Kinsey Scale of sexual orientation, SIX represents those who have zero interest in the opposite sex and 100% interest in same sex. The Kinsey Sicks term themselves a "Dragapella Beauty Shop Quartet."

Our local member of the group, Irwin Keller, the one in the red wig, is a lawyer and the spiritual leader of Congregation Ner Shalom just down the road from our house. It's a Jewish synagogue serving about 100 families, half of them gay or lesbian. Keller originally planned to be a rabbi, studying at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, but gays were not allowed to complete the course.

Tomorrow night the group performs "Oy Vey in a Manger" at Sonoma State University.
