Can you build muscle and lose bodyfat?
I have been eating healthy food every 3hours each day for a month now, my meals include brown rice, lean mince meat (pork, beef, turkey) with vegetables, green tea. I have basically lost 1inch and half and around 3-5kg, I exercise 3 times per week weight training and cardio. by next 3 months increase cardio to 6-7 times a week and do weight training always 3 times a week. I am increasing weight onto the lifts by 5kg a month and hopefully progress is going be excellent and I can improve myself. I am basically interested to lose bodyfat and become lean/athletic. My Aim is to go from 24% bodyfat to 10% -12% bodyfat percentage by April 2014. Will medications such as dutasteride or cyprotrone effect my results? and another question is it possible lose fat and build muscle if you are chemically castrated? or surgically castrated?

Will medications such as ...
The loss of testosterone from chemical or surgical castration typically would cause weight gains with fat build up. I took on over 5 kgs from my chemical castration, and was able to take the excess weight back off only after taking Tamoxifen, an anti-estrogen. However, putting on muscles remains a much greater challenge than before castration.shadow1ninja (imported) wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2013 10:34 am cyprotrone effect my results? and another question is it possible lose fat and build muscle if you are chemically castrated? or surgically castrated?

Re: Can you build muscle and lose bodyfat?
My experience would lead me to say you're going to struggle building muscle with no or low T. You should be able to tone any existing muscle but I doubt it will grow much. I dare say you could get stronger in spite of this but it's unlikely that you be as strong as someone of the same age and body type who still has T flowing in their veins. You can get ripped but I personally think it will be diet more than exercise that gets you there. Once you've dropped the fat though if you've been exercising as well you'll look better than someone who hasn't been. Once your T is low you might find motivation to be the hardest thing to overcome . . .
