I don't know if someone else has brought up this idea before.
The idea is that the interior of the testicle is partially emptied out and the removed tissue replaced with something to keep the original shape, sort of like breast reconstruction.
The testicle is punctured with a hollow needle, through which a wire is fed with a whisk-like end. The wire whisk is spun to destroy the tissue, much like using a coat hanger and a drill to blenderize a watermelon via a small hole to make smoothies. The destroyed tissue is sucked out and the space filled with some kind of polymer.
A similar idea would be to go in via the urethra and/or the Vas deferens, thus leaving no exterior puncture of the testicle but requiring more skill.
Obviously this would probably render them sterile, especially if done via the second method. The main reasons for doing this would be to cause sterility or reduced fertility, to reduce testosterone production, or to give the ability to enlarge the testicle from the inside.
Also, if the one being cored is a masochist or a slave to be tortured, small lead beads could be added to the polymer mix to increase weight, or iron beads for "fun" with magnetism. :evil grin:
I have couple of questions:
1: Would the testicle survive the process, regardless of if it is refilled? (All stories I have read - real or fictional - involving a ruptured testicle end with it being removed entirely.)
2: Any idea how much testosterone levels would drop? (I know that removal of only one testicle would not necessarily cut testosterone production in half.)

Search for "sub-capsular" orchiectomy. - There are youtube videos.
I think personally that there is still too big a risk of infection.
That method is used mainly for prostate cancer.
