I hardly know what to say about this but can attest, that form the right angle, it really does look like this.

Also, not mentioned, if you know the city you will chuckle that this building is a Beijing neighbor of the famous "Pants" building of China Central Televison (CCTV)

In the 1960s, I attended Stanford University, where Hoover Tower (home of the Hoover Library) is referred to as "Hoover's Last Erection." The term is often accompanied by a comment that his wife disagreed. In the right light, the tower is clad in flesh-colored sandstone with a red dome at the tip.
