I hardly know what to say about this but can attest, that form the right angle, it really does look like this.

Also, not mentioned, if you know the city you will chuckle that this building is a Beijing neighbor of the famous "Pants" building of China Central Televison (CCTV)

Here is what keeps BJ folk smiling....

What can the architect have been thinking? Plenty of suggestions so far, and more to come?

:)

Anyone vote for its demolition? Often said that Renmin Ribao needs a reroute!

There was an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" that dealt with something like this. I always thought it was just fiction, but well... Truth is stranger I guess.

When the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) built its corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, it built an aluminum sided building with a grand atrium of aluminum.

I know for a fact that there are aluminum urinals and aluminum water closets in its aluminum walled washrooms.

They are awfully cold. :D

Interesting way of compensation... Freud would have been happy. :D

Russians would have called it "impotent's dream" ;)

You mean the structure that America ERECTED in honor of the FATHER of our country. Legend has it, though, that George Washington was impotent, or at least sterile.

In the 1960s, I attended Stanford University, where Hoover Tower (home of the Hoover Library) is referred to as "Hoover's Last Erection." The term is often accompanied by a comment that his wife disagreed. In the right light, the tower is clad in flesh-colored sandstone with a red dome at the tip.

When I went to Carnegie Mellon University in the late 60's and early 70's, the nearest competitor was the UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH and it has the Cathedral of Learning which in the true spirit of college students, we at CMU called "The Pitt Penis" or the "Height of Ignorance" ...

Gee, how did Hoover FUCK the whole country when he was impotent with no erections?
