Yang Hu, 26, reportedly cut off his member at his tiny apartment and then, realizing what he had done, rode his bike to the hospital.
A Chinese bachelor depressed about his barren love life sliced off his own penis in the hope he'd stop thinking about finding a girlfriend.
Yang Hu, 26, reportedly hacked off his member at 9 p.m. Sunday after returning to his tiny apartment in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province.
But, seconds afterward, he had a change of heart and rode his bicycle to the hospital for treatment.
He forgot, however, to take his severed manhood with him. Once at the ER, doctors ordered him to ride back home and get it.
After he returned to the hospital for a second time, they realized his organ had been without blood for too long so could not be reattached.
The Daily Star reports that Hu had been feeling low since moving to the city because his long work hours at a clothing factory meant he was unable to find a girlfriend.
His friends have now blasted doctors for not providing an ambulance, claiming if he hadn't been forced to bike back then his private parts could have been saved.

What this tells me is, I wouldn't necessarily bleed to death if I cut off my own penis. I have cable ties, a professional grade cleaver, a chopping block, and a phallus with which I wish to part. Hmmm....

Then do it In the emergency room. And make sure there is a surveillance camera so the psychiatrists that HOLD you for three days to a week have a clear view. (that was nasty sarcasm, BTW)
Taking a meat cleaver to your penis is very dangerous and this fellow immediately regretted his act and wanted doctors to reverse it.
What does that tell you -- don't make hasty decision… --Don't make decisions in the depths of broken love triangles, binaries or some guy or girl leaving you. A break up is not the reason for chopping your penis apart.

EXCUSE ME?! They ordered him to go back home and get it?!
Did they try and address the injury first, at least, bleeding?!
More and more, it's a wonder that China has endured this long.
Must be by sheer force of numbers.
