Re: Science and Tech Quiz.
In air pollution certain gasses are called "fugitive emissions" when they escape without much noise…
Some of them are truly "silent but deadly."

Natural gas has mercaptans added to it to give it an odor. Otherwise, it would be unobtrusive and lethal. The amount of mercaptan is miniscule. Sulfur compounds tend to really stink.

Nitrogen is the most common gas, in MOST areas. There was a lot of methane at Talula's this summer, though.

You've told me about your chilli. I don't need to experience it to know better!

This must be an easy quiz because I scored 13 correct out of 13.

Sure, but your were expecting the Nitrogen question.
Y'think that was fair?

If you scuba dive, you know this.
I worked with hydrogen in pilot plants and had to purge the oxygen from the system. We used nitrogen so we didn't go BOOM!.
If you've ever used oxygen in a hospital, you should know this because oxygen can blind or destroy lungs.
And its not really rocket science -- APOLLO 13 dealt with this oxygen problem in real life and in the movie about it.
Fair?
It's very unfair to lack oxygen.

Re: Science and Tech Quiz.
I suppose that my correct score ought to be 15 of 13, given that dihydrogen monoxide and monoanhydrous hydronium are two atmospheric gasses that are notably more effective greenhouse gasses than is carbon dioxide?
Surely everyone knows that H3 with a charge of +1 is the hydronium ion?
And, surely everyone knows that dihydrogen monoxide is a toxic chemical that is always fatal when a sufficient amount of it is ingested, or, when in liquid form, inhaled?
Was it not dihydrogen monoxide, in both crystalline and liquid form, that killed all those folks who died on the unsinkable Titanic?
Remove all the poisonous dihydrogen monoxide and the poisonous monoanhydrous hydronium from planet Earth and its environs, and people will soon cease dying; a magnificent cure for human death?
The wonders of science!
So, science can save us after all!
