@considering YES! Information and support (even negative, considerate, well-informed opinions) are as important as is proper medical care. --FLO--

nomorestrangers.org has a story about a MtF that transitioned at 16 came out to patents at 15 told from his/her mothers prospective.

Now consider most gays know they are different at around age 8.

How many young males would even know what a Eunuch is, let alone choose to be one. In our binary society, a boy is more likely to be accepted as one of the girls. True stories I've read seem to indicate that most MTF/FTM know they are the wrong sex about as soon as they become aware of what the differences ares. Usually 3-5 years of age.

I would imagine Jesus would have a lot to add to this topic?

I comes down to personal responsibility, you should be able to choose to be castrated once you become of age. Now M-F that is an medical decision and should be left at that.

Now if an person did get castrated and changed there mind later that is only his problem not ______ (fill in the blank, as him is not wanting to take responsibility for his actions)

I know I'll be taken to task for saying this but I'd say about age ten. No ten year old boy is going to ask to have his balls cut off unless he's really sure he wants it. At that age I liked the fantasy of castration but I would have died before asking for it.

Why is M-F any more of a medical decision than M-E? If you do not like being male and you want T removed from your body that is a medical decision. To be absent from hormones is different from changing hormones to feminize. Just trying to understand your point.

I did ask a lot of questions about castration between 8 and 9 years old. It caused great panic to my parents, who involved "proffessionals" that I would refer to as quacks.

Times are changing.

A castrated man is a man of any age castrated, right?

So isn't a eunuch, somebody who's been castrated before puberty, and makes no hormones to become a man?

Hmmmm are you suggesting that those of us who have been castrated after puberty are not "eunuch"?

A male to female transsexual, needs medical intervention to receive hormone blockers, and then the cross-hormone therapy so they have a female puberty. This will make a huge difference in their future quality of life and how they look as women. Same goes for the female to male, they can prevent breast growth and the female shaped hips...etc

Where-as a male to eunuch should be done with medical supervision. I think it is better that the body is done growing properly, to its correct height and proportions before they remove the bits. I can't see why a parent and doctor would sign off on the procedure for a minor.

I'll be surprised if the medical community changes and starts allowing voluntary castrations of adults in my lifetime, no way can I see them allowing it for minors.
