Over a year ago we made a decision on the Archive that there would be no nude/vulgar Avatars, we have a personals where you can put all the nudes of yourself that you want but not on the main board please.

I took the liberty to delete many avatar's tonight, so if yours was one I deleted put up something more appropriate.

You are free to post whatever you want but the problem with nudity and all sorts of nakedness or blatant sex was that several members accessed the site in public places (like libraries) and nudity was banned in those places. Rather than get the EA banned in public places, it was easier to change a few avatars.

I had one of those naked avatars but now I have my face.

You dead wrong, like if you access at your work, public wi-fi, or library, you do not wish to have nude or vulgar images on your screen to draw unwonted attention to you.

As a general rule, we do not censor posts here. Sometimes a closed thread is necessary, but rarely. One must remember that there is no free speech except as allowed by the site owners, who are responsible for its content. We provide a space (the personals) where you can post your kink and your pics that are NSFW. We simply will not allow them on the forums where so many times they are opened in public (libraries, schools, work, etc.). So, yes, there are standards by which we live.

Indeed. Without the bounds -commendably wide here- the freedom enjoyed would end up all the less.

I watched this thread to see how long it would take for someone to thank you for taking care of this important aspect of EA.

The symbol for a Female is a circle with a cross, the male is a circle with an arrow. What is the symbol for a Male with no testicles? I would like to use that as an avatar. I am only at the beginning of this process so at the present, I have to admit to being male but hopefully with the chemical castration followed by surgical, I will change that......
