Thanks, Transward, for pointing out that an in-your-face approach gets an in-your-face response, guaranteed. In this particular case, it is an lung issue diagnosed as COPD by a pulmonologist. Mind you, no test results. The lab did the wrong tests and I had already started brovanna and budesonide when the results came in and it does not work to re-test after you have started treatment. To skip over some side comments, I went to a naturopath who had years before resolved my getting sick frequently when regular docs could not. Taking B12 daily stopped that issue dead in its tracks and it has never come back. I made an appointment with him and reviewed some digestive and the breathing issues with him. He said that everything could be explained by developing food allergies later in life. Not that allergies HAD to be the explanation, but it was a possible explanation. The idea was that being variably allergic to a lot of stuff primes the body to make an extreme reaction to a stress like exercise. I did the allergy tests which caused the post some time ago about being allergic to everything but pussy and water. Once he said that and I started paying attention, I noticed that, for example, the orange chicken at a local chain almost caused me to get an asthma attack. Experimenting around I have found that if I watch what I eat, I can get by with half the recommended dosages of the above (Note that when I was really busy I travelled so much that it was really difficult to stay precisely on schedule with treatments because of planes, multi-hour changes of time zones and varying electrical systems in other countries. Therefore I wanted to find out how much slop in schedule my body could handle.) I mentioned all of this at my last visit to the pulmonologist and since have found that his office will not renew prescriptions and when I called to see when my next appointment was, the nurse said that there was none scheduled but that I could make one if I like. I take that to mean that it is time to find another pulmonologist. I would like to find one where I can discuss nuances like allergies.

This thread has gone too political, and it's done.
