Saw Palmetto is sold in form of powder (from dried berries) in capsules or in pills. Perhaps you're mixed up with "heart of palm" which is served in salad.
Nope Im not mixed up with heart of palm. I have a reaction with heart of palm too now that you mention it but it's just a rash.
Saw palmetto in its raw form, crushed into bits, add into salad(like how people add bacon bits into salads...those give me the "runs" btw)
NB: I'm a vinegrette, croutons and olive oil fan for my salads. Never liked dressings.
