Batman vs. Superman - Another Reason Not to See It?

Video-get it before it's gone.

I can deal with Ben Afleck playing Batman, because Christian Bale certainly didn't get it.

I could deal with Batman and Superman not hitting it off and fighting.

I would REALLY like to see a full blown "Justice League" movie, perhaps based on the animated series script, but with less Hawkgirl and Jon Stewart as the Green Lantern.

But I cannot, CANNOT, CANNOT, deal with Justin-fucking-Bieber playing Robin in a new Batman movie!

Please tell me this a PR stunt. Someone present evidence that this is not real.

Well, yeah I could...on ONE and only ONE condition - that he plays Jason Todd and the Joker kills him!

hehe

And, he needs to die in the first two minutes of the film.

I thought nothing could be worse than the Joel Schumacher version.

I was wrong.

I thought George Clooney would be a great Batman, and he probably did too.

I blame the writers and directors, not the actors.

Any of the actors who've played Batman could have been great.

Bale could have been spectacular, but nooooo...

Actually, "Batman Begins" was OK, just the voice bothered me. I loved that they used R'as al Ghul as the villain, and not the Joker or one of the better known ones (to my generation). By the time we got to #2, I was done with Nolan.

And Joel Schumacher? Bring me his nuts on a silver platter. I want them right there next to M.Knight Shyamaloon's head.

Seriously, though, I think that this has GOT to be a joke.

If you're going to introduce Robin into it, then do it right - with a kid, and the full-blown murder of his parents scene. Get a DIRECTOR and a kid that can act. Robin should be no more than 11 max if put into a film.

Are there even any suitable boy actors out there right now that fit the bill?

I came out of BATMAN BEGINS ranting about how dark it was. (My family thought I was crazy). I think that these new Batman and Superman (where he unleashes nuclear holocaust to destroy Zod) are too dark. BATMAN BEGINS with the Heath Ledger Joker was a depressing commentary on how much evil exists in man and instead of being life affirming at the end, it only presented darkness. Talk about depressions looking for suicides! These storylines are it.

I don't call this the most depressing movie I've ever seen (HUNGER GAMES and EARTHQUAKE share that prize) ...

To me, it seems that entertainment in any form is getting darker and raunchier by the day.

Of course, my grandparents probably said this about my parents' days.
