Re: Testicle Size and Fatherly Interactions
As entertaining as this is, everyone here does know that testicular size is based on spermatogenesis and has nothing to do with testosterone production right?

Re: Testicle Size and Fatherly Interactions
I have written to James Rilling, the senior author of the paper, to suggest that he next work directly on testosterone and empathy. There are certainly enough castrated prostate cancer patients (and available matched controls) for a study on the effect of T. There are about 600,000 castrated PCa patients in North America and about double that number who are diagnosed but not (yet) castrated.
We asked only five questions directly about empathy on the Eunuch Archive survey. I had not yet looked at them, though I have now run the figures for those surgically castrated who are taking full testosterone replacement therapy (n=67) and those taking no hormones whatsoever (n=49). There is a large increase in empathy among those taking no hormones. Since the graduate student who does all of my statistics is off to present a paper at a conference, it will be a while before I know whether or not the difference is statistically significant, but it certainly looks as if it should be.
Rilling wrote back that he was interested and may take up the subject....

So I guess that non-gelding quarter-horses make better fathers than men. Or, worse? Has he considered primates such as chimpanzees? Or, is he just NOT monkeying around with that idea?
Has he also considered vagina size or penis size? Or, maybe mating is not that important.

Re: Testicle Size and Fatherly Interactions
Hmm... very interesting.
Especially since I fit the study perfectly... I've always been TINY down there, (like, as in one of the smallest that I've ever seen on an adult,) and I love kids, so much so that I was actually planning on being a teacher before I became a poker dealer.
So hmm... seems legit.

Damn. There is a pickup line in there that I never used.
