Testim gel info please

Post by jako9999 (imported) »

Hi all Ive been on a low dose of testim gel now for 18 months and yes it may be the best for me as im in control of only giving my self the smallest of dose its still a pain because it stays sticky for around 6 hours, does anyone know around how lung does it take for the testosterone to be absorbed from it into your skin? I have called the company as they are here in the UK but got no real answer as they said it was up your skin type and where you put it, I either use it on my stomach or the top of my arm. I tend to put it on at around 7pm then leave my top off till I go to bed it may be that its done what it needs to in 30 mins or may be you could put a top on and it still works ok, does anyone know?

Thanks in advance

I read a study about it, it's better to spread the gel over a large part of your body(upper arms, shoulders, stomac and thighs if needed) to absorb it more quickly. I've used Testim for a couple months and I quitted because of the sticking. I've returned to Androgel, both work well the difference is the sticking and the price, here in Canada Androgel costed me twice as much as Testim. Now I'm on Nebido (injection), I like it better.

I took Testim for a while and experienced pretty much the same thing. It stays sticky for a long time after you put it on! In my experience, there wasn't any way to avoid it. I always put it on my upper arms and spread it out as much as I could in that area. I chose that area because it didn't have much hair, unlike most of the rest of my body (I was afraid hair would affect absorption). I usually put mine on in the morning, which meant that I had to put clothes on over it. I found that waiting about 20 minutes or so before putting a shirt on would be enough to prevent the gel from transferring to my shirt even though my skin would still be sticky for hours. Rubbing in the gel extra thoroughly also seemed to help.
