Hrt/trt

Post by shavedheadAC (imported) »

For those who are on HRT / TRT. How much do you take? I´m on low dose - so i take 10mg of testogel (tostran) every two days and it works fine. no hardon in the morning, sometimes only semi-rigid dick, small need for orgasm - and it needs much effort and time to get one.

If your dose is 10mg of testogel, that is a very small amount, and would provide virtually no T.

Are you using 10 grams of testogel? If so this is pretty normal dose. Most use 5 grams a day of a 1% gel, regardless of the brand. Most vary from there as a benchmark.

I'm on 1 gram a day of 5% rub-in, pharmacy-compounded crème, the same net dosage as you quote. This is the starting dose my HRT specialist MD started me on in early 2010 and it has delivered the intended results without need for alteration.

My serum T tests in the top third of reference range as desired, and subjectively, my energy, muscular strength, mental sharpness, and freedom from fatigue rapidly improved from my what my previous, bottom-third natural T production gave me. My libido did not become excessive, merely rising a little to "sufficient" in the way that was typical of my life after puberty.

Knowing how much testosterone supplement anyone else takes is most likely of not much value.

We each have our own DNA, weight, age, and body elements, such as other hormones, diet, activity, etc.

It took me a bit of time to fine just how little testosterone gel I needed to take to achieve the balance that I wanted, that was in "sync" with my body. For me, that was just enough to not conjure up sexual feelings and abilities. Is that enough to provide me with enough testosterone to maintain basic health maintenance. Well, time will tell. But I do know that if I take any more than my personal "maximum", I get results that are unpleasant, undesirable, and unsatisfactory to me. So, it really does not matter to me what anyone else takes. I have my own goals, and have found my own TRT limits. Sometimes I get busy and don't take TRT. That seems to be less of a problem than taking too much. I use to take "extra" just to see if I could actually revive my sexuality. Well, I could. A small part of that was nice. But the bigger picture was very not nice.

So, it just depends on who you are, what you want, what your results are based upon your own chemistry. Hopefully you don't base your future doses on what other people take. At least in my experience, each of us needs to find our own level.

I agree with nullorchis.

I'm on TRT since december now, and, for me, T replacement is time dependent. I started with injections and doses were too high for me.

Now I'm on androgel and I still vary the doses I take. Anyway, it's not a linear treatment.
