Re: Epididymitis
when I had my testicular torsion + hydrocele long ago one of the first symptoms that developed was a mild Epididymitis(talk about triple whammy) and it was both painful and nauseating. Glad I don't have to use antibiotics anymore but I was prescribed them after the surgery. The hospital food was great though. Fricken chayote veggie stir fry was good and for dessert a mango P

Re: Epididymitis
a catheter from medical toys dot com, and trying to unpotty train mself. I didn't insert it correctly and went into the other tube
Re: Epididymitis
After looking this up, anatomy, etc., I really don't know how you could have done this, OR found a catheter small enough to get in there - which would also have to have been too small to be an effective catheter to begin with.

Re: Epididymitis
I slide the catheter when my penis was up against my belly and it slide into my tube toward my testicles, does that explain it
Re: Epididymitis
No, it doesn't.
Not trying to be rude, but I don't believe a word of this.
I am sure that Uncle Flo, who is more experienced, will have something to say on the matter as well.

Re: Epididymitis
Catheters are inserted properly perpendicular to the pelvas and goes into the bladder, right around the pernium is a second tube that connects the testicles and when u r close to orgasism the bladder closes tightlyso none of the semen/seminal fluid goes into the bladder. Can any back me up on this?

Re: Epididymitis
The second (distal, external) urinary sphincter does close to restrict semen from making a retrograde ejaculation into the bladder. However, my sources (both print and internet) show the ductus deferens and the seminal vesicles to be much too small to receive a urinary catheter. These ducts enter the urethra at the edge of the prostate which is located in the curve of the urethra near the bladder. If you are inserting a catheter into any tubes other than the urethra there must be a massive defect in one of the ducts. Otherwise I can not give credit to the account. I, myself have experience with catheters and other insertions, large and small, and I have found that no matter the position of the penis they invariably follow the urethra. --FLO--

Re: Epididymitis
I'm with Uncle Flo.
I had an indwelling cath for over a year (long time ago) and used to change the old for a new one every week and flush it every day.
No way it went anywhere than into your bladder.
What you did was to give yourself a urinary tract infection and the antibiotics cured it.
Be careful with being sterile and ultra-clean if you are going to do anything with catheters. I had nurses who taught me how to touch, grab, move and disinfect me, the lube, my fingers, my penis, latex gloves and the catheter. It was a little project or sterility from boiling glassware every day to preparing cleaning solution, and all sorts of unsexy stuff. But I never got a UTI or a Kidney infection.
