Just got the word back on my car, and my worst fears came true. It will simply be too expensive to fix right now. Now I need to consider what I can do to get to the MoM.

I hope you all have a very good time at the MoM. It will always bring positive memories in my mind. The core folks at Eunuch archive are very positive peoples. I enjoyed my times there. But I know that I will never see a MoM.. But to you who have not been to one, it is well worth going. Fine Peoples.

I really wish I could attend and put faces with names. Just now I'm putting clothes in bags preparatory to having them boxed up and shipped to Christchurch, New Zealand where my lecture series begins. It's winter there so...apart from admiring the snow on the Southern Alps I'll be shivering all through NZ and Oz where central heating can mean a fireplace and/or a wood fueled stove. I'm stuck as visiting faculty is always expected to stay oncampus at some sort of suite. Or with faculty. Once I get to Darwin I'm with friends and it's in the tropical part so I can throw on shorts, a T and wander down to Fanny Bay to watch Salt Water Crocs chase tourists from the white, oh-so-inviting sand beach. Apparently they cannot read the warning signs which are in about ten languages. If you miss that, the crude drawings of Crocs taking a bather as lunch are very specific. So have a great time. Maybe another time. At least, until I fly non-stop from Brisbane to Dallas, no flight is over twelve hours long.....

While other more mature members of the Archive here at the MOM discussed matters of great worldly importance, the more immature of us (myself, Cainanite, and a non-EA member) blew up some Diet Coke with Mentos all over ourselves and Talula's back yard!

Unfortunately, our youngest guest, age 3, had already gone home. We were hoping to corrupt him and make his mother crazy with exploding Coke bottles!

A good time was had by all, though.

Don't under estimate the 3 yr. old. #1)He spent much of his time playing the piano on Cainanite's tablet. #2)He was the only one who showed up in a white shirt and tie. #3)He shook everyone's hand and said "goodbye" before leaving. Uncle Flo can be proud of him.

Got my card in the mail, and I would just like to thank everyone who signed it. It means a heck of a lot to me to get something like that in the mail. Again, thank you all.
