Re: Sharknado (redux)
I must say that at 9:05 there are sharks bouncing around .. .
As silly as it is, it does entertain.

Re: Sharknado (redux)
One hour into Sharknado 2.
Lots of cameo appearances or good look a likes. Matt Lauer, Al Rokin. The Subway sandwich guy.
I just don't understand why Cassandra Scerbo and her short shorts isn't in this one?

Re: Sharknado (redux)
NBC celebrities have a bunch of cameos.
It's fun.
It skewers and pokes fun at lots of things - citibikes, cab drivers, baseball heroes, all sorts of inside jokes and stuff.

Re: Sharknado (redux)
A few things:
a) since the sharknado at the start of the movie hit a plane. The Internets want a crossover movie combining SHARKNADO and SNAKES ON A PLANE .
Just think - Samuel A Jackson yelling "What are these MF'ing sharks doing on this MF'ing plane?"
b) Will Weaton died on that plane. Plus, he live tweeted the movie.
c) Andy Dick played a NY policeman
DANGER SPOILER:
d) the Wedding Ring that Fin (Ian Zearing) takes from the severed hand that was in the last shark and that he gives so romantically to Tara Reid originally belonged to the Vivica Fox character who was his first love that he left in NY City.
And they said Romance was Dead in the movies!

Re: Sharknado (redux)
All the reviews say the same thing, it stinks but its fun.
As the review said, the budget for this movie was what a low end company lawyer is paid. ouch

Re: Sharknado (redux)
Having watched Sharknado and Sharknado2 the Second One,
I favor the original. Maybe just for Cassie Scerbo in shorts.
Hopefully, like over sequential movies, they will discover what was lacking in #2 and make a better #3, #4, #5,
Sharknado in the Midwest anyone?
At least one seen of them gobbling up live stock.
A small farming community battling Sharks falling from the sky into their storm shelters.
Moi
I wonder
Were any sharks hurt making those movies ?

Re: Sharknado (redux)
I resurrected this thread because I didn't have the heart or the nerve to create a new post just for LAVALANTULA ...
Yes, that's a mashup of Lava and Tarantula. Nothing to do with Pahoa, please keep the real world away from the fantasy SyFy world. They are two separate threads.
It's discussed on a website called "Bloody Disgusting" because they talk about bloody and disgusting things in media - mostly slasher films and gore festivals and video games.
I don't think that this is going to be a serious movie with that lineup of stars.
http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/33139 ... g-spiders/
Riding the marginal success of their Sharknado series, the Syfy Channel has another silly B-movie in production: Lavalantula. Its exactly what it sounds like, a tarantula that shoots lava. But this time they have an ace up their sleeve in the form of a mini-Police Academy reunion!
Lavalantula stars Steve Guttenberg (Mahoney), Leslie Eastebrook (Callahan), and Michael Winslow (Larvell Jones)! To be sure this band of cop comedy legends are in the right hands, Syfy has brought in Big Ass Spider (our review) director Mike Mendez.
According to EW, Lavalantula is currently in production and will air sometime next summer. For now, check out the poster below and PRAY Michael Winslow busts out some crazy sound effects with his mouth.

And if they happen in Hawai'i,
people are going to stand around and say,
"Oh Hum, Lavalantula's happen. Nothing we can do about it."
