Sharknado (redux)
SyFy Channel will repeat SHARKNADO Thursday night.
Don't watch this movie sober unless you have a really sarcastic and loud crowd with you to snark the movie and mock it...
If you hate TV movies then this will be the movie to watch to reinforce your views - it's best viewed high and giggly.
It's really like a giant case of bad oysters -- when all that shit comes flying off the movie/TV screen, it's such a relief you can only laugh.

Re: Sharknado (redux)
You have to see the movie to see those sharks out of water still chomping away at limbs and acting like they can fly through the air.
I suggest you get a Nerf gun and whatever alcoholic beverage or mood altering substance your little heart desires and watch the utter cheesiness and sheer banality and quite amazingly goofy action. It rips off so many other films and picking out those outrageous rip offs and trashing the movie is almost a contest in itself.
It even rips off Jonah and the Whale with a chainsaw.

Re: Sharknado (redux)
Thanks, I forgot about that cartoon on XKCD.
It's almost the entire plot of the movie.
Except for this quote:
"Instead of letting live sharks rain down on people, we're going to get into that chopper and throw bombs into the tornadoes."
I don't know what the logic of that line is but it's funny.

'Sharknado 2' is coming -- for New York!
http://www.today.com/entertainment/shar ... 6C10657996
"Sharknado" dumped a bunch of man-eating sharks on Los Angeles, and next year, the killer fish are coming for New York.
King Kong, aliens, meteorites, lizard-like monsters, New York has been terrorized by all these and more in the movies. And now, a new threat is hitting the Big Apple in 2014 sharks.
Syfy announced on Wednesday that the network is going ahead with a sequel to its social-media sensation, "Sharknado." The made-for-TV movie drew 1.3 million viewers, and featured "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum Ian Ziering as a bar-owner who tries to save his loved ones as sharks are dumped in Los Angeles by a freak storm.
"Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm on television," Thomas Vitale, Syfy's executive vice president of programming and original movies, said in a statement. "The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel. What we can guarantee is that 'Sharknado 2' will be lots of fun."
But the fun doesn't end there. Syfy is letting fans play a role in the TV movie's official title. Fans can tweet their title ideas to @SyfyMovies using the hashtag #Sharknado, and the network will use the best submission for the 2014 TV movie.
The opportunities for cheese-tastic title fun are endless! (And seriously, why not go as goofy as possible? You know the sequel is going to feature awesomely bad lines and impossible scenarios, just as the original did.) For starters, we like "Sharkapalooza," "Skarkpocalypse Now," "Sharkzilla," "Dawn of the Shark," "Shark Attacks!" "28 Sharks Later," "Armasharkdon," you get the idea!

Re: Sharknado (redux)
Sharknado is a lot of fun.
Generally I do not appreciate SciFi Channels original productions but, Sharknado is fun.
It would be a great flick for a hot summer night at a Drive In, if there were any Drive Ins left.
The cast was less amateur then SciFi's usual and seemed to work well together.
Good back ground music and familiar Southern California / Hollywood / Santa Monica land marks.
SFV is only reverenced in passing
Just for the fun of it and one of the best SciFi productions I have seen - watch it sometime !
You may regret it but, you can say you saw it.
If you are in the right frame of mind for it, it will be enjoyable.
Avoid feeling disgraced
because you didn't see this cultural phenomena.
Really. See it.

Any who saw disagree?
