I take issue with the current poll regarding penile erections.

Erections are not the "b" all & "end" all.

Penises frequently come in the soft and docile variety and

are much more pleasing to discuss than "size".

Any polls relating to size should be open to all EA users and, for example, this poll could be another sign of phallic dominance by

anyone who has had a penectomy, for example.

Lets have polls we can all vote in, please

I see no reason that anyone could be excluded from this poll. If you're a woman, there's an option to vote on. If you've had a penectomy, there's an option for that as well. There are more options for those who do have a penis capable of erection, yes, but I think all the bases are covered. If you have a penis and are impotent, then I'd assume the flaccid length would be the answer.

Voting in the polls is for entertainment ... if you don't like that particular area of entertainment, ignore it. Obviously the last fruit poll contained an option that you liked. Sorry that the penis poll is not to your liking. It's not easy coming up with these things when they start to get old. If you got a better one, mail it over and we'll consider using it.

We each have our own view of the world, and someone who cannot get an erection might object to "measurements while erect" as opposed to "measurements flaccid." Understandable.

If I wanted to be bitchy (Who? Me? ) I'd probably object to the phrasing of one of the answers: "I’m a male and dammit and don’t have one."

For myself I'd prefer it say: "I'm a male, and thank God I don't have one!"

Paolo and everyone don't worry, of course I do have a sense of humo(u)r and I know it is difficult to always find something amusing for the polls. I think they are a great idea and on re-reading I see I was wrong, guys without cocks have an option in the poll but in using the word "hard" an assumption is made

a): that we all want to be "hard"

b) that we all aspire to be "hard"

The EA site probably provides the greatest number of erections on the net, for guys choosing arousal.

Some of us are chemically denying penile hardness and enjoying it. I'm not trying to be censorious again, just pointing out

that the word "hard" could have been complimented by adding

"or docile, if you prefer". I know you get flak Paolo, I just made an observation 'cos I think dormant and docile and impotent

are perfect options for the penis and not something to be ashamed of!

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with the last poll.

Usually I set them up and try and rotate them on a reasonable basis. I would like once a week if I can. My issue is new ideas.

Here are my thoughts on making up a poll.

1) A poll can be funny or serious.

2) A poll must be interesting in some way.

3) A poll must not be a yes/no vote. There must be alternatives.

4) Each poll must in some way poke at Bboy.

Beyond that, there are some other things to consider, i.e. the Archive is global in nature so I can't put up a poll that is centered on one country.

My next poll ideas:

What should be done to email spammers?

When was your last body modification?

Vegetable?

Your favorite game?

Do you send nude pictures of yourself to others on the internet?

And that is about as far as I have gotten. We have in the past had great suggestions from users regarding new polls and have used them. If anyone reading this message has a suggestion, please send it in along with the answers you would like to see asked.
