The most recent issue of The Atlantic has a long article titled The Modern Female Eunuch by Kirsten Kukula and Richard Wassersug. The opening paragraph reads:

Germaine Greer's 1970 The Female Eunuch (http://www.amazon.com/Female-Eunuch-P-S ... 006157953X) gave eunuchs a bad name. Applying the term for castrated males to women's political and social disempowerment, Greer overlooked the fact that actual eunuchs -- and other men with low testosterone -- have occupied some of the most powerful positions in government and the military throughout history.

Very interesting article.

And especially interesting to me, seeing as how I'm just now experiencing the effects of not having testosterone in my body for the first time ever. And I must say, a lot of the things that they say are pretty much spot-on in terms of what I've been feeling recently.

Actually I think we as eunuchs do in fact seem to get overlooked or pushed to the side in many things since we do tend to be quieter and look and sound much younger than what we appear to be plus because of the stigma (look up 'stigmata' some time) we are generally unable to boast about being a eunuch even now. As a gay you have more rights than as a eunuch and so you might just have to go ahead and claim to be gay sometimes since that's how a binary society views you as. I find that ironically eunuchs often get socially and politically disempowered by the very same women that claim they themselves claim are as such. They'll be the ones that are putting you down as a 'man' not realizing that you are at the very distinct disadvantage as they themselves are. At work such things happen such a even though you may not have the body for it but you'll be the one moving around the furniture while the women are at their desks and so forth. Been there done that. And then in the morning you wake up with pains.
